About
Pac-Snec is the ultimate high-score hunting challenge of two beloved arcade genres into a single, intensely replayable experience. Grab that nostalgia and hold it close as you deep dive into a retro-inspired world where every move counts and the maze is your hunting ground.
You control the Snec, a snake like entity tasked with navigating a procedurally generated Labyrinth. Your one true goal is consumption and dominance:
Consume & Grow: Weave through the maze and devour scattered Orbs. Each orb increases your score and, crucially, your length.
The Deeper Challenge: The longer your Snec grows, the more challenging the Labyrinth becomes. Collision with your own increasingly lengthy tail results in a game over.
Goal: Survive, grow, and secure your position at the top of the Global Leaderboards (WIP) for ultimate bragging rights.
The Labyrinth is not empty. Lurking within are Spectres, agile creatures that patrol the maze.
Avoid the Spectres: These creatures will chase and trap you. Mastering the map layout and predicting their movement is key to survival.
Character Progression (WIP): Unlock new Snec bodies, unique visual trail effects, and spectral Spectre Skins as you achieve high scores and complete in-game milestones.
A feature-rich, dedicated arcade experience, designed for both quick sessions and deep mastery:
Infinite Replayability: Navigate procedurally generated maps. No two Labyrinths are ever the same, ensuring a fresh challenge on every run.
Multiple Game Modes: Test your skills in different ways:
Classic Mode: The pure, unforgiving arcade experience.
Dead End Mode: Plan ahead, dead ends are unforgiving and portaling into a Spectre is less than ideal.
Who You Gonna Call?: Play with NO Spectres! Easily customise your game to remove the threats and avoid your tail at any means necessary.

Eski zamanların “yılan” oyunu ile retro arcade labirentlerini birleştiren şık bir deneyim. Snec’i büyüterek labirentte ilerliyorsunuz, ama kuyruğunuz hızla can düşmanınız haline geliyor.
The idea is clever but the execution needs some patching. First, there needs to be a quick shortcut to restart. Once the run has gotten into an untenable position, people shouldn't have to wait to try again. It should be a fast escape, down, enter, enter to restart with no waiting. Second, the menus in general need to be keyboard navigable.

cool
Pac-Snec is a fun little arcade mashup that clearly takes inspiration from classic games like Snake and Pac-Man. The core gameplay is simple and easy to pick up, making it great for short sessions when you just want to chase a high score. The retro vibe and maze-based movement give it a nostalgic charm, and for a free indie title, it offers a surprisingly engaging loop at first. That said, some design choices hold it back from being more enjoyable. The arrow that constantly follows your character feels unnecessary and distracting, especially once you’ve already learned the controls. Instead of helping, it can clutter the screen and pull focus away from navigating the maze. On top of that, the moving camera can feel disorienting at times, making it harder to plan your movement in a game that depends on quick reactions. With a few tweaks, Pac-Snec could be much better. A static screen instead of a constantly shifting one would make the gameplay clearer and more comfortable, and removing (or at least making optional) the trailing arrow would clean up the presentation significantly. The foundation is solid and the idea is good — it just needs some refinement to really shine.
