I found the game to be relaxing and tense at the same time. It has a unique feel to it making me feel I'm immersed in an alien world with suspenseful anticipation behind every corner.
This is amazing. Spotted this game a few weeks ago and been meaning to try it. The videos and screenshots are great, but the gameplay is even better. WORTH NOTING: If you happen to fly FPV quadcopters, you need to try this game. I think you will find an interesting transfer of skills. Disclaimer, I'm an old-school Descent player, so there's no doubt some nostalgia going on. I forgot the joy of zipping around in 3D space. The moment I wanted to roll the ship after ~25 years away and instinctively went for the Q and E keys without thinking....magical. The graphics and effects are dazzling, the action hectic and intense. The level design is outstanding and fun to explore, just as good as the original series. The textures and lighting really put you there, it's hard to explain but it's very immersive. Having said all that, I can see how the gameplay could be a turn-off if you're new to it. It's not like anything you've ever played. Will probably take some learning, but oh boy is it worth it. So why haven't I bought it yet? Well, I actually have been out of gaming almost entirely for many years now, only recently getting back into racing sims. I really don't game anymore. And I fear a purchase of the full game will result in excessive amounts of time lost blasting my way through these old mines again..........

Very nice. Played Descent way back in the day. This has simple controls and easy to play. I will be getting the full version.
Very good Shooter
Entertaining, and clean game design. Some controls are harder to figure out and utilize to the best effect. Perhaps a higher learning curve to some other games.
Loved Descent, love this even more, thanks for the chance to reminisce
My rig: -Win 7 Ult x64 - AMD FX 8150 (oc to 4.2GHz) - 16GB RAM - ASUS RTX2060 1x Saitek Cyborg 3D Force for rotation, 1x ancient MS Sidewinder 2btn 2axis for translation and 3 custom footswitches hotwired to a USB keyboard controller for FWD, BWD and Boost. This is the system I created for Descent (which I still love to play) I'm still on the demo at this time. I had some problems getting the MS stick mapped - config screen only sees one side of the axis. I ignored that and went into the training mission And It Works! And by golly what a joy it is to play. Thus far, it runs like a dream in 1080 with all eye candy on. I will buy this game as soon as possible and I'll report back on how it performs when things get a little more hectic! Heartily Recommended! Mood - Great. Graphics - Great. Music - Great. Looking forward to the raytracing version and the enthusiast levels
