This game is really a breath of fresh air for me. I had a lot of fun with it. Does this game cater to a particular type of player? Yes. It caters to the type of survival RPG player who is content with very little handholding. It caters to the type of player that wants their adventure to feel like a real adventure, navigating by landmarks and a map, camping in the woods, carrying food and rations. It's a game where the journey is essential to the destination, and immersion in the world is one of its biggest features. Actually planning out your trip to the dungeon, clearing the dungeon, and making your way back to town feels like a real journey with logistics and supplies that need to be accounted for. The world is wide open and fun to explore, with quite a few different and unique environments. These environments even affect what gear you'll be bringing with you - going out into the desert means you'll want to be packing plenty of water and clothing suitable for hot weather. The world feels dangerous and untamed, and even seemingly modest enemies can present a problem for you if you aren't prepared, especially early on. There is quite a bit lore to unpack, and multiple factions to align with for different endings that each play out different stories. Combat and magic systems are unique and interesting, allowing for a variety of play styles. It's a more methodical and deliberate fighting system, and preparation matters when going into encounters - things like food buffs can make or break whether you survive a fight or not. I really enjoyed messing around with the chakrams the most. It can sometimes feel a little clunky, but there's enough to enjoy here that if you're willing to overlook just a little clunk there is a lot of fun to be had. In short, if you like the idea of a survival RPG with a methodical, and deliberate fighting system that heavily rewards preparation and strategy, and has very little handholding, but has an interesting and immersive world that is tons of fun to explore and lots of cool lore to dig into, then this is your game.

I was skeptical initially but it has become one of my favorite games of all time

Fun game , i love pilgrammed from roblox and this game is just perfect as it have the same and better aspect of gameplay and would love making op tank dmg build

I really enjoyed this game but I just can't give a positive review because the devs put a whole bunch of bad and ugly designs and mechanics into this, I just can't Hope Outward 2 will be different in that regard

not sure i can recommend this game they do some things good and then most things bad, best way i could describe this game is that it would be good in 2014 but just not good in 2022 (the year it came out) and definitely not in 2026, needs a overhaul, I see they have a outward 2 coming up and i´m excited for this game coming out.
