About
Ourhero is just a regular guy. Not a hero chosen by fate, not the subject of an ancient prophecy, just someone who was in the wrong place at the right time, and ended up with a noble title and a sword in his hand. But the Teorhemas Crystal has been stolen, the villainous Finalboss has dark plans to conquer the Kingdom, and someone has to stop him. That someone is you!
Forests, valleys, water cities, scorching deserts, volcanoes and glaciers: every level is a world of its own, packed with enemies to fight, puzzles to solve and secrets hiding around every corner. Along the way you'll meet a cast of quirky, loveable characters, each with something to say... or something to ask of you!
Combat is real-time and the pace is relentless. Your weapon of choice? Swords! And there are plenty to find. Collect them, upgrade them and unlock their special powers, including ranged attacks that will completely change your combat style!
Side quests, hidden collectibles, secret areas waiting to be discovered. Our Hero! First rewards every curious player who dares to look around. For those who want to explore every corner, there's plenty to keep you busy!
Every character was conceived and hand-drawn by the developer. A world of bipedal cats with a lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek spirit that never takes itself too seriously... and is proud of it!
Our Hero! First is the first chapter of a trilogy. Ourhero doesn't know it yet, but his story has only just begun, and it's going to be far more absurd than he ever expected!

I honestly love the combat system. Easy and simple to fight and fun. NOW…..Go kill some mobs!!!
The game itself is basic but really addictive, i enjoyed the different scenes and the story was something different, character interaction is really good for this sort of game being able to upgrade items and collect along the way really suits, Splitting the game into acts is also really good for breaking down the quest, controls easy to understand and run perfectly find no bugs or glitches to report, enjoyable game would recommend
Really liked this game, great experience especially the calming music and intense fight experience. Would definitely recommend to other fellow gamers. Worth a try ;)

cute lil action rpg with a cute kitty attack can be akward and sometimes this game is kinda confusing what to do but is fun x3
back in 2d rpg play as orange character and kill bad guys somehow I didn't stop being curious about the continuation of the story I've always liked games like this because who can bear with just one life ahahha RPG is never wrong! * * for me
The game looks very funny, the story is engaging and the characters... so cute! I'm really enjoying it. I'm probably halfway in the story, but I already want a sequel! :3
Игра "Our Hero! First" — это яркая аркада с элементами RPG, где игрок управляет героем, прокачивая навыки и сражаясь с врагами. Плюсы: увлекательный геймплей, динамичные бои и насыщенный сюжет. Минусы: повторяющиеся уровни и технические сбои. Подойдет фанатам быстрой игры, но не идеальна для долгосрочной привязанности.
I discovered this game by chance and I was really surprised by the story cause it is adventuros and charming and also funny (I enjoyed its sense of humor). I still have to finish playing but I am sure I will have a lot of fun. The characters are nice and some of them also weird (some of them looks so dumb lol), I like the style and it is evident that those who created the game put a lot of effort on details. I reccomend it, it is really worth it. I hope to play more games like this one!
RPG Maker strikes again! "Our Hero! First" is one of the many low effort projects made with an easy-to-use construction kit. It relies on canned assets and cringe high school fan fiction. This is a pretty sad RPG Maker asset flip (it should be noted the developer supplied their own asset for characters which is just copy + pasted + palette swapped, and looks even worse than the RPG Maker assets they plagiarised). The idea is you control a cat (I guess this was made for furries) and the gameplay tilts away from the usual Final Fantasy ripoff JRPG style to a bit more actiony kind of stuff, but still phrased as a pixelcrap Final Fantasy ripoff. The plot follows a quest to reclaim the legendary Teorhemas Crystal from the villainous Finalboss, who seeks to use its power for chaos... so the cringey writing is trying to be a bit tongue in cheek and a bit meta, but ends up being even cringier for trying so hard and so weak at the same time. The writing and plot suck. Like other RPG Maker "games", the game engine is extremely low quality. It displays badly in fullscreen, and has no real graphics settings or HD support. It's not up to the same standard we expect from a modern PC game. We can make the argument that construction kit toys like RPG Maker are intended for making small games and demos and things to pass around with friends. They shouldn't be used as a substitute or "Ez-mode" to allow unqualified amateurs to LARP that they're real, actual game developers. Like most RPG Maker shovelware, the game uses low quality 2D "retro" pixelcrap art and has bad gameplay. RPG Maker is garbage and never results in products with any real value as PC games. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Insultingly, the developer used a bunch of GPT AI slop for the Steam store page and marketing material. AI slop is an insult to gamers everywhere, it's trained on copyrighted material without permission. Worse, if they had no qualms about using it here, there's no telling how much of the rest of this product is also vibe coded or made with AI slop. Let's look at the price and what kind of value this actually offers gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $6 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? I can't recommend this. I didn't have to pay for this, but I still feel ripped off.
