Nice retro-style visual novel with a well designed waifu and a hilarous story. You can actually complete the game with one hand ;)

Big boobs and ship trip - a short summary of what this free VN offers. Want to join the journey? This VN is the second in the Oppaidius series, but it does not require the knowledge of the previous title. Still, since the characters are the same a few references can be missed. Like in the previous Oppaidius game, you can name the protagonist or use the default name - Vittorio. Also again, accompanying you is your best friend Jimmy - a personification of the trope 'perverted friend'- who just happens to have some holiday cruise tickets. Persuaded by his charming demeanor you embark on the trip, not forgetting to bring your gaming equipment with you to enjoy some Yuuki-chan time. During the trip, you will experience several mysterious events and encounter some big personalities. Well, one idol with a BIG personality and one barista to have a coffee with. It is a short 2-3 hours story ending on a cliffhanger, which should motivate you to pick the next title. During the reading, you'll encounter several choices, but since the plot is linear, and with only one ending, the outcome of your selections does not have an impact on the story, only the number of moves in the after-story mini-game will change. Thus, depending on your final character affection and the noughts and crosses mini-game score you'll have more or less moves available. The previous title had a poker to beat, this one has a card-matching mini-game at the end. This after-story mini-game contains four pictures to uncover by matching the cards in pairs. Nothing challenging, just a nice extra for the gallery. Overall, this VN is more of a prologue to the main dish served by the next part than an independent story. For a free game, it is more than a decent read. The presentation of this VN is an artistic choice. The overall retro style might bring some nostalgic feelings, but it is still modern enough to make it visually pleasing to younger retro enthusiasts. The character sprites were most likely inspired by older European comics, yet they all have a rather distinct look inherent to the artist. It is not exactly my preferred art style, since I find anime style much more appealing, but it should be decent enough for most. Additionally, several scenes offer a dose of original effects not commonly seen in this genre, so some points for creativity were definitely earned here. Not relying on generic graphics or copy-paste art is a positive in my book. As for the sensual elements, there is only some tasteful nudity with a strong focus on the bosoms. Don't expect anything explicit or degenerate. It is a softcore dish. The music implemented here also offers a good dose of retro feeling. Some of the tracks should be familiar to you if you ever bothered to play the previous VN from this author, but the majority of tunes are new. A few tracks have even more than one version, e.g. the theme played during the stages of the memory card mini-game. While I found a few tracks enjoyable, none of them were really memorable to me. It is just not my preferred music genre. Still, I can definitely count the soundtrack as one of its better selling points. No bugs encountered. To conclude, this tropical cruise story offers a few hours long introduction to the follow-up title: Oppaidius: The Desert Island. Hence, if you liked the previous title, or just enjoy retro-style VNs with a light, comedic story, then I can safely recommend this title to you. I sure enjoyed it more often than not: 6.4/10

The humour is puerile & mostly doesn't land, & mostly wont with anybody who is actually old enough to play this VN. It's also not made sufficiently clear this this is a prequel to 'Desert Island'. I almost gave this a bad review because of the abrupt way that it seemed to end, just when it was starting to become tolerable (Jimmy had left the narrative, thus much improving it). Eh, its free. What have you got to lose? (Well, about 3 hours of your life, but you know, apart from that).

Акцент на расслаблении и позитивной атмосфере. Плюсы: Яркая тропическая эстетика — сочные цвета, живописные пейзажи островов и дизайн корабля создают летнее настроение и эффект «отпуска на экране». Расслабляющий геймплей — нет жёстких сроков и стрессовых задач, можно свободно перемещаться и выбирать занятия по настроению. Разнообразие активностей — мини‑игры (пляжный волейбол, рыбалка, танцы), сбор сувениров и диалоги с колоритными персонажами не дают заскучать. Минусы: Поверхностная проработка заданий — большинство задач сводятся к простым «поговори‑принеси‑найди», без глубины или неожиданных поворотов. Ограниченная реиграбельность — после прохождения основных активностей и открытия всех локаций мотивация вернуться снижается: новых испытаний не появляется. Повторяемость событий — некоторые мини‑игры и диалоги повторяются, что со временем снижает ощущение новизны. Итог: Oppaidius Tropical Cruise! подойдёт для коротких сессий и отдыха: она дарит дозу тропического настроения и лёгкого развлечения без напряжения. Игра очаровывает визуалом и атмосферой круиза, но вряд ли удержит надолго тех, кто ищет сложные задачи, глубокий сюжет или высокую реиграбельность.
