Onsen Master

센과 치히로의 욕탕이 연상되는 게임. 제한 시간내에 손님들이 요구하는 재료를 욕탕에 집어넣어 치료해줘야함. 단순반복적인 게임이라 재밌게 했는데 갈수록 시간이 너무 빡빡해지고, 무엇보다 혼자하기엔 너무 힘든거 같아요.

Seems like the tutorial works now but still has some issues. I noticed it was reacting to my keyboard input when it was not the active window, which was a bit odd. The store page says it has steam remote play but we could not get it to work (One player on keyboard and one on controller, as is usual for steam remote play). Both inputs were accepted but were directed to the same character, leaving the yokai standing still while we both controlled the main character. There is no menu for selecting which controller controls which character to rectify the situation Game has a bit of a weird difficulty curve, starts off with more elements in play then is typical for a starter level in this genre, but it was manageable all the way up until the big 'Yokai Boss', who seems impossible to beat solo, given you don't have enough time to do everything on your own. The levels with the purple tree are frustrating to navigate not because of the intended obstacles, but because of weird hitboxes on the stairs. There are also spirits that run around but are hard to catch because they will stand next to ingredient bins and your character will often grab the ingredient instead of the spirit. It does not feel good when the game is difficult due to control, movement, and hitbox quirks, rather than because of intended challenges. I also had a confusing moment where I couldn't progress through an area even though I had three-starred every level. It wasn't immediately clear that it wasn't a bug but the fact you need to defeat the boss yokai in order to unlock the next level. Some ui improvements could fix this (Like a grayed out yokai icon next to the star bar, showing the yokai as a fourth star might be more intuitive) I found the second area the most enjoyable, 4 tubs, 4 scents and I found that if I colored the baths at the start then the festive guests were more likely to pick their intended bath (Of course the yokai screws that all up anyway but whatever) There's enough tiny frustrations in this game that I can't recommend it. Could really use some polish, mappable keybindings, graphics settings, ui improvements for user friendliness, and some bugs worked out on desktop. Graphics settings seems like a very big oversight. My game keeps popping up on my secondary monitor instead of my primary, and it isn't moveable once it's open.

Ngl , was unable to even start to play the game due to the amount of issues/bugs. I have a dual monitor pc. the game would only ever open on one of the two monitors (and ofc not the one where i needed the game to load /open up on) . They then mention that a controller is recommended but really what they are saying it is required . It would not read or acknowledge any of the buttons on my keyboard so , unless i addded my controller i was not able to even get to the menu. kinda sad because I really wanted to try out the game...

This is just a lovely, enjoyable game about running an onsen. You'll get to meet colorful characters and creatures as you alleviate the local community's physical woes. I'll not mention too much about the characters here, because meeting new folks is part of the surprise! I hope you'll find their portraits to be as adorable as I did, because Onsen Master's art is just BEAUTIFUL. Not just the portraits, but I noticed that the lighting in the onsen can change based on the time of day which is a very nice touch. As far as the gameplay, it's a game of spinning plates. The rounds are short and sweet with just enough pressure (on normal mode at least) to make the gameplay challenging but enjoyable. I like the idea of being able to guide two guests at once if the opportunity arises! It's sort of a "power play" in Onsen Master that can save you quite a bit of time. Honestly, I was not expecting a "boss fight", but the challenge stages are actually really fun and shake up the usual routine of things. I've so far bathed the first boss, and I can't imagine what the next will end up being. Be advised that this game currently requires joystick swirling with seemingly no alternative -- something that can significantly impact the lifespan of your controller's control stick. From playing Pokemon Sword & Shield's curry making mini-game on Switch, I started discovering that the swirling was breaking all my joycon sticks! Thankfully, this game is fairly forgiving for how far out you need to point the stick to swirl, so I've been able to mitigate a bit of the damage to my control sticks (using a PS5 controller on Windows). I'd be fine with an option to alternate triggers or bumpers for the same effect, or some other way that doesn't require stick swirling. I mean, that could make sense? Moving the mop back and forth with each hand? Anyhow, it controls quite well despite the need for stick swirling. Overall, Onsen Master is cute, creative, and just real nice to look at. I pulled this up after being very frustrated with another game, and felt a whole lot better. Definitely give this a play!

a few release bugs thats im sure will get squashed, or maybe already have, but otherwise a great game. valuable life lessons in the story, engaging dialogue to cool off between levels that introduce challenging new mechanics, and a certain relaxing quality that you can use to unwind or to warm up your brain. great for kids or adults

Basically an abandoned game. Technically possible to play using a keyboard, but really inconvenient. And if you have a widescreen monitor, you're out of luck, there is no way to make it work without changing the screen resolution

Onsen Master is not a good game, kinda glad I bought on a discount cause I fell rip off. To start the game tutorial is broken glad I could skip it but the downside I have to learn the game the hard way by trial and error. The final boss is so unbalance, you never got time to beat it. The achivement are also broken great... The detection is very janky at the time, you want the ingrediant but sadly since the customer is so close most of the time you grab the customer instead of the ingrediant. At least the game is short 3 hours to finish the main story. Overall I dont recomend this game maybe if you have a coop partner it could be more berable that play on SP

The game has a few good ideas and a charming art style but there are too many things wrong with it to truly enjoy it. The weird blurry filter effect over parts of the level, a lot of bugs and gliching NPCs. The game just feels like it needed way more time in development. It's sad because at it's core it is a pretty good Overcookedlike.

I'm going to put a good review on this because we had fun, and I want to encourage the devs to create more levels. But seriously, 9GB for a game with 18 levels? - 2.5 hours of gameplay, we finished it with 3 stars. And btw, there's a bug with the achievements, most of them didn't unlock. Speaking of bugs, you really need to fix that one where you drag customers on multi-level stages (the ones with stairs). Customers glitch out a lot.
