Assisting the cat and now it's just you two, you share your last onigiri with the stray cat, then retreat back home. In the morning, you awake to find a naked girl sleeping next to you, she has cat ears and a tail. Her name is Okayu and she claims she's turned into a human thanks to the onigiri you gave her. From here on out, she stays at your place while also getting closer to you, being a pillar of support. With each day, her antics drive you crazy, but it is building up your confidence along with trying to enable your desire to take over your grandmother's onigiri shop. A budding love story between you and Hololive's Nekomata Okayu (Okayu Nekomata)! [h1]Pros:[/h1] [b]1.[/b] The story is heartwarming and adorable, it may not be mindblowing, but it is a cute love story that isn't afraid to add heavy stakes. Being written by Okayu herself, she did a fine job with it and I can feel her love and appreciation for her fans through her work. I do enjoy how it is a focus for Okayu, but she still propels the protagonist forward as well. [b]2.[/b] There are three characters: You (You choose your name), Okayu Nekomata, and Korone Inugami. The protagonist at first is a reserved young man that is a little downcast due to circumstances out of his control. He does gain the confidence to do things with his own vigor later and I do appreciate our unnamed protagonist goes through some character development. Okayu is a goodhearted girl that frequently teases the protagonist with her sensuality, however she does her best to support him even if she doesn't know how to do things as this is her first time being a human. With trial and error, she cooks for him, visits him at school, and listens to him carefully about his personal issues. However, she does possess vulnerabilities aside from cat related things, she worries about hurting him. Korone is a supporting character, but she does have her own route where she's curious about the world. In the Okayu route, Korone wants to protect Okayu and is distrustful of humans. I think the characters are fine and Okayu has written enough that I cherish all of them. [b]3.[/b] The art is wonderful. The sprites of Okayu have a ton of different facial expressions, poses, and outfits. CG art is plentiful and display Okayu in her cute and sexy ways. The CG art add a lot to the mood, but the best one was the beach fireworks. Her solemn expressions and watching the sparklers eventually die out set the mood in greatly. There's also cute art too with Okayu and Korone in their chibi and animal forms. [b]4.[/b] This is fully voiced aside from the protagonist. Okayu does an excellent job in portraying herself in many situations, along with Korone and minor characters. [b]5.[/b] Surprisingly, this visual novel has a lot of options. There's the usual UI, sound, and the other usual settings you'd expect, but there's also a section for touch screens and full controller rebindings. Along with that, the other settings possess a vast amount of options to customize your experience. [b]6.[/b] There two things about the music, the BGM and the Opening/Credits. The background music is fine, it does its job in adding to the mood of the scene. Now the Opening and Credits are songs sung by Okayu, and they are fantastic. While the story isn't bad, it is a safe standard romantic comedy. It's milquetoastness is a nice break from super story intensive VNs. [h1]Conclusion:[/h1] As a fan of Okayu, I can feel her love for her supporters. It might be a standard romance story but Okayu did well in writing it and is not afraid to make herself vulnerable.
