About
Occupy Mars: Prologue is a Free to Play game - an introduction to the world of Occupy Mars in which you have to use your brain in order to survive.
For the current build play Occupy Mars: The Game not Prologue !

Occupy Mars is a highly technical, open world, sandbox, survival game about Mars colonisation, inspired by the most promising technologies and companies who work towards the goal of becoming a multi planet species. Build and upgrade your base, discover new amazing regions, conduct mining operations, retrieve water and generate oxygen, grow crops, fix broken parts, learn how to survive on Mars!
The Prologue takes place in a remote location, before the events in Occupy Mars: The Game.
As a member of one of the first successful Mars colonies, you have been sent to Remote Research Station located inside the Gale Crater.
Your task is to collect data and resources. As easy as it may seem - you need to hurry as there's an incoming dust storm and your oxygen, water and food supplies are shrinking.
You need to think, act quickly and in correct order to survive... before it gets dark.

great game!!!
Yes.
A big chunk of this is on me, but the tutorial system isn't doing anyone any favors. "Here, watch these 3 five-second videos and read some text. Got it? Great. Figure it out." Good games teach by action, not just words. This one does not.
How far I made it in the demo:

Figured out how to drive the rig
Got out and chizzled iron ore
Picked up chunks and dropped them into the trailer
Drove to the station and dropped everything off
Bought random parts from the computer (didn't realize I needed specific ones)
Learned I needed to charge my rig
Connected power to the rig at night
Dead by starvation
50 minutes in and I still had no idea how to find food, which on Mars is kind of priority #1. I think I needed to find aluminum and craft electronic parts to make a battery? Maybe? I couldn't sleep because I was too hungry, it was nighttime so I couldn't see well nor was I told how the lighting works so most of this was me fiddling around and dying from coldness as well.
Other issues:
The game is choppy and janky. The crane clips through ore chunks, and dropping a full trailer load triggers non-stop texture pop-in. It looks promising for what it is, but between the poor onboarding, jankiness, and performance issues, I can't justify spending real money on the full game yet. Not recommended until the tutorial gets a serious rework.
Looks good. No food an time to git going you die.
