About

NumX is back!
After 2 years, NumX is back with an improved version. Rediscover old mini-games and discover new ones, alone or with friends, in the same room or on the other side of the world.
New game modes are also planned to bring a new experience around the mini-games.
Original NumX content such as old skins and music will also make a comeback.

NumX is a party-game containing several mini-games that can be played alone or with others, in which you play as a simple cube. And yes, sometimes simplicity is best. You can play online with a friend, or locally on the same computer.

NumX has a variety of minigames that you can play such as :
Survival VS
In VS Survival your goal is to avoid the grey cube for as long as possible!
Air Hockey
In Air Hockey, you have to be the first team to score 5 goals to win the game !
Obstacles
In Obstacles, you have to avoid the obstacles that appear so that they don't push you into the water!
And more...!

In NumX, you can play with up to 4 friends locally or online and compete for victory!
Each player can play on the same keyboard or connect their controller!

If you decide to play NumX minigames alone you will be awarded coins at the end of each game!
With coins you can buy skins to customize your cube, backgrounds for the play frame, titles to display on your profile or emojis to use while playing online!
During events that are sometimes held, you even win double the amount of coins, so make use of them!

We hope you will have fun on NumX!
Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "BlackLight Accounts" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.
"NumX" is a collection of minimalist Adobe Flash tier minigames that can't be played because you would need to get some friends to play it with you, and if you ask friends to play garbage like this, you soon won't have any friends. The minigames are trite minimum effort demos like Survival VS, Air Hockey, and Obstacles. Absolutely nothing of interest here beyond questioning why anyone thought it would be okay to publish something this badly made. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
I stand corrected in one point, I didn't realise this toxic, spyware pushing dev was pushing MOBILE APPS onto Steam, this is never okay, but otherwise my review stands as it is... the developer needs to decide which gaming platform he wants to make worse instead of collecting data (and holding that data possibly in violation of the GDPR) just for this garbage. Like I CLEARLY state in my review, if the developer could be trusted, they wouldn't be asking to collect and store your private details. Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review. My review stands unaltered. I cannot recommend this mobile app data harvester to anyone.
