About
Climb the Tower.
Fight the Magic.
Slay the Mage.
Easy to learn, hard to master
Your abilities are straightforward and all are available from the start of the game. However, the clever player can creatively utilize them for advanced movement through levels built to accommodate beginners and pros alike. Players seeking mastery can strive to achieve A or even S rankings on each level, while those wanting less of a challenge can use the assist mode to streamline some of the movement mechanics.
Fueled by rage
As you destroy objects and collect motes of magic, you’ll collect Rage in order to perform special attacks and recover from damage. Start your Rampage when the Rage meter is filled to fully heal, boost speed, and double all damage.
Play well, move faster
Maintain your Rampage and rack up a high combo to turn the barbarian from a lumbering brute into a speeding bullet of rage.
Curious conversation
An introverted savant vs. a boneheaded brute- these begrudging conversational partners have a variety of branching dialogues to explore as the barbarian barges further and further into the mage’s domain.

This was fun, I beat it in about 25 minutes, I didn't 100%, so that might take like 40 minutes? I like the game, didn't see bugs, the art is nice, once you get a hang of the controls it plays smooth.
This is a fun demo for a platformer that shows a lot of promise. The rage meter that powers all your special abilities feels well-balanced so that you usually have at least a bit built up when you need it, but not so much that you can throw out moves without thinking about it. The mechanics work together to make you want to embody this character of a big bruiser smashing his way through enemies and furniture, and after a level or two I was getting into a flow state where I was running, jumping and smashing my way to the next doorway. Each room usually has a couple of paths to get to the exit, and they usually feel more like you're being thrown into the middle of a fight than following a linear path. There are a few collectables to get that felt hard to miss, so I hope they're a bit more out of the way in later levels. The dialog between the main character and the antagonist is a lot of fun, too. A couple of lines had me laughing, and the couple of times I had dialog options to choose from I was looking for the one that would get the funniest response because it felt like the game could deliver. There's not much going on with the story at this point, but with the amount of time given to dialog already, I could see both characters being explored more in interesting ways as the game progresses. The demo ends after a few levels with a pretty creative boss fight that makes good use of the movement mechanics so far. I got close to dying at one point, but the openings for healing were pretty generous and I got through on my first try. It ended with a torso floating very slowly toward me, which did feel a bit anti-climatic; maybe the boss speeding up in the last stage would make things a bit more exciting? In the end, I had a good time with the demo and it left me interested in playing more. If you've got half an hour to spare on a smash-it-up platformer, I recommend giving this a try. P.S.: I started this on keyboard but the punch-then-jump felt a bit awkward, so I switched to controller which felt smoother for this game.
