Immaculate from beginning to the final few moments of the end. A marvel of what modern technology and pure talent can accomplish. This game brings so much to the table that it's difficult to even begin describing.
The plot might be a bit contrived at times, but after watching a few video essays it became obvious to me that it was I who was simply too self-absorbed to understand the deep and intricate meaning of Ninja Frog. Besides this error on my part, this must have been one of the most profound and thought-provoking stories mankind has encountered within the past few centuries. I'm willing to bet it will cement its place at the top of the pantheon of greats amongst the legendary and timeless Greek tales.
Gameplay has the depth of a bottomless pit. Anything and everything you may or may not ever thought to be possible in a game can be accomplished in Ninja Frog. Once you've played it, no other game will hold a candle to the sheer ingenuity this game offers. You'll open up Baldur's Gate 3, and wonder: "Why am I playing this instead of Ninja Frog?". The controls feel more natural and intuitive than that same meager body you've inhabited for 26 years.
If I had no choice but to offer at least one negative criticism regarding this game, it would be that it is simply too perfect. What can any developer, indie or AAA, possibly hope to do to in order to compete with this game? It's simply not possible. Games released in the next few decade will walk in the footsteps of Ninja Frog. Wars will be lost and won, cities will crumble and rebuild, and Ninja Frog will have guided us towards a brighter future.
