I love indie platformers but I would give this one a D+ You have a tiny little sword which works HORRIBLY in combat. Art and level design is rough. Very rough.
Niko and the Cubic Curse
I honestly think that this is a pretty decent game, it has some vibes from the platformer flash games that i played when i was younger. The artstyle and gameplay were pretty simple, but still enjoyable nonetheless, i like the fact that some levels have their own flavor with exclusive additions, like the long sword in one level, running away from spikey circles and etc. The hub world is also a highlight, with having some secrets, interactions and funny dialogue. The music to my surprise is also good, the world 3 level theme, boss theme are definitely highlights in my opinion. If i had to express my gripes with this game, i'd say that the 3rd world is pretty bad. While i like the level theme music and the effect that textures have when camera moves is pretty cool imo, but the levels feel kinda monotonous even compared to the other worlds, the visuals are not great and boss kinda stinks. The first level of this world tho looks really cool, but controlling the racing car feels very wonky. The game also have some bugs, like getting stuck in the emptiness after you fall and some typos in few dialogues. But overall, the game is still pretty fun to play, even with the short playtime it has. I wish good luck to the devs who made this game possible to exist and hope that they will improve themselves in videogame developing.

Now, I want to say that this game is VERY unpolished, which checks out because this is an indie game dev's first game, but even with that fact, it has a charm to it that I haven't seen in a lot of other games. That and the soundtrack is extremely good. For only $5, I highly recommend.
