Night in the Woods

Delightful art and some bone chilling god-tier writing make this game much better than its sluggush and repetitive gameplay would otherwise allow for. When it gets real, this game has some of the strongest characterization and deeply moving writing I've ever seen in a game. Problem is it doesn't get real very often and you need to be patient: visit the same 4 screens 20ish times and interact with the same people over and over. I get that is partly the point of the story, but I had to grit my teeth to not walk away after 2 hours when characters don't talk about what's really eating them or what I wanted them to say and do. In the end I do feel the game pays off thanks to the strong writing (in parts) and the vibes of a dying town and the lessons the game has to offer on moving on. Plays perfectly on SD.

A game with well built characters, interesting conversations and cool art, the only negative point for me was the ending.

This game is life changing

I haven't played much on steam but finished the game multiple times on ps4. this game is AMAZING!!! it isn't the game you think it is in the beginning, and it also covers some serious topics in a way that captivates you as well as sending a message. i also formed an emotional attachment to so many of the characters!! overall an amazing game
