New Yankee: Karma Tales

Every level has so many things happening at the same time. It's too "busy", and the storytelling was a bit lengthy. The group has too many characters, but only the workers do all the work. Each level takes a lot of time because there are too many things to do, and some tasks are not straightforward. You can't complete a particular task until you "unblock" the special character. But unblocking the path for the "special character" doesn't mean he can do the work because his skill is only limited to a specific task, and gathering the resources for upgrades requires too much effort. Towards the end of the level, it feels like two levels squeeze into one. I feel I'm more exhausted than John because John only gets called for killing snakes or hitting the gong to get rid of the succubus. And Mary is just walking around waiting to be called whenever you need more trees or gold. 

Ich finde es gibt spaßigere Spiele in diesem Bereich. Aber wenn man, aus welchen Gründen auch immer, sich irgendwie die Zeit vertreiben will, kann man hier nicht viel falsch machen. Die Levels ähneln sich alle, die Teile der Serie scheinbar auch. Der andere Teil den ich bisher spielte, war jedenfalls nicht so sehr viel anders. Positiv: es gibt viel zu tun und zu beachten - es kommen Geister und Skorpione und was auch immer vorbei. Negativ: man weiß zum Teil nicht, was man alles an Ressourcen braucht. Am Ende soll man Mission X erfüllen. Und diese besteht oft darin, etwas 3 mal in Massen etwas zu sammeln. Wie gesagt, man weiß vorher nicht was. Und weil es solche enormen Mengen sind, ziehen sich die Levels dann auch. Silber schafft man hier sehr leicht, für Gold müsste man viele Level wiederholen. Netter Zeitvertreib, wenn man was nicht so Schweres sucht (es sei denn, man möchte überall Gold erreichen). Nebenbei Musik hören und abschalten.

I just love New Yankee. Got them all, and have never ever been disapppointed. If you like good time management games - buy it. Heck buy them all!

Absolutely LOVE this GAME!!

[h3] Excellent game. [/h3] [b]This is one of the best games of this genre. [/b] It took a few levels to get into the swing of it then it was 'I'll just do one more ... ' The achievements can be challenging but very do-able. There are several puzzles in addition to the main story levels. Looking forward to playing more on the series.
