About
Murmurs of the Mist is a short psychological horror story where you play as Bunni, the stuffed toy of a 7-year-old girl, Sofia. She struggles to speak about what happened to her but in therapy, Sofia speaks through you, the only one she trusts.
As Bunni, you explore the mysterious landscape of Sofia’s psyche, where her innocence, fear and childish state of mind blur together. What you see, hear, and touch slowly reveals the dreadful truth.
This 20–30 minute experience invites you into a quiet descent through memory, trauma, and the first steps of healing. A short unraveling of a story that is waiting to be heard.

great storytelling about trauma being processed in therapy
Sad story but still a very cute and haunting game!
This game is ridiculously cute, and aesthetically pleasing. As many say, the camera movement sucks, but overall it was super fun and stimulating.

Good!
細部に注意を払いながら進むことで、ソフィアの物語を少しずつ解き明かす楽しさがあります。
i am a csa survivor, this game probably would've gotten disturbing/upsetting to me. however the controls are so unbearable i barely made it out of Sofia's bedroom. character getting caught on 1mm ledges, interact button not working unless perfectly aligned (even if prompt is showing). i enjoy these cutesy little horror games, but i think the subject matter of this could've been handled very differently, especially given the current political climate. someone suggested telling the story through the social worker, which could've felt much less... fetishizing.
Congratulations on the Steam release! It makes me so happy to see that you guys published it on here. The game has a very moody atmosphere which I think was made beautifully. It was fun to play the different levels and I enjoy how the narrative was shown through gameplay and interaction. I also loved the physics that were added to Sofia and Bunni's hair :) Some scenes weren't as optimized as others though and made it a little laggy to play sometimes. Looking forward to your next release!
I can honestly say the mix of child like imagination and true to life real dark subject matter made me feel fear and emptiness. This is actual horror. It was awful in a bad way and did exactly what it set out to do. The empathy it makes you feel is palpable. I really do enjoy dark, but man....this hits different. Im grateful for the experience but in a way kinda wish I didn't pick this up. All that said it is a masterclass in story telling and sharing with the player an experience that will most likely stick with them for a while. If you are reading this review, know what you are getting into before finishing this experience, the very first few moments will set the tone.
Good Game overall! Camera control is a bit clanky
Even though this game is struggling in both narrative and gameplay aspects i.e. the limited controls from chapter to chapter and general clankiness of camera and movement mechanics aswell as the very simple and not scary or sad story. It is showing light to an obvious issue in the world but it does it so poorly because of its runtime i really cant give a damn, if it was longer and better polished it might've been better, but sad as it is it is not even worth the 20 minutes of its runtime.
