Mundus - Impossible Universe 2

This version of Impossible Universe is a marked improvement over the previous version, though it also seems easier. Each of the "Worlds" in the universe now has a brief narrative to describe it and all the unlockable scenery. The number of puzzle elements is increased, ranging from conveyor belts, to stone barriers and walls, to regions (someone else's review identified them as "rugs" or "carpets" or something like that, and I'd say that's sufficient) which are unlocked by collecting a specific number of certain stones. Overall, there is plenty of variety added to an otherwise typical match-3 game here. Although I enjoyed the game for what it is, I found it a bit less challenging than the previous title in the series. A couple of the layouts on conveyor-heavy stages were dizzying and almost too chaotic to make sense of, but your puzzle criteria can usually be met by a few well-placed packs of dynamite. As cash seemed easier to come by in this version of the game, it was difficult to run out of it. The only unsatisfying feelings I had came about when I was only a few stars (that is, completed stages) away from unlocking a new piece of scenery, and eventually unlocking everything on each planet. It seemed too convenient to purchase more dynamite and thoughtlessly blast my way to completion of the stage. All that being said, the game looks just as beautiful as the original. The sound effects are a treat for the ears, and as long as you move along, the soundtrack doesn't become a chore to listen to. Finally, I love watching the dazzling array of bouncing, grid-clearing explosions upon the completion of a stage. To sum up: they kept what was good in the original, and added new attractive elements to it in order to make it a fitting sequel. I picked this up in a drastically-reduced bundle, and definitely received my money's worth.

Подходит для спокойного досуга, при этом она неплохо тренирует мышление (особенно при игре на высоком уровне сложности). ДОСТОИНСТВА: - симпатичная графика, красивые спецэффекты; - приятная этническая музыка и неплохое звуковое сопровождение игры в целом; - интуитивно простой интерфейс; - наличие в игре мало-мальского сюжета (и хотя он весьма условный и довольно-таки странный — «исследование» четырёх необычных планет, но всё же...); - несколько уровней сложности — как для новичков, так и для опытных игроков; - большое разнообразие игровых предметов (камни, руны и пр.); - сравнительно низкая стоимость игры (особенно, если покупать её на распродаже); - игра не требовательна к «железу» ПК — будет летать даже на старых машинах; - стабильный движок игры (за 18 часов в игре обнаружен один единственный баг — иногда при запуске игры она почему-то открывается не в полноэкранном режиме — лечится выходом из игры и её повторным запуском); - хорошая локализация (качественная русификация текстов, меню и пр.). НЕДОСТАТКИ: - нет достижений Steam; - нет коллекционных карточек; - звуковая дорожка в игре короткая и однообразная; - некоторые уровни недостаточно хорошо сбалансированы. РЕЗЮМЕ: в целом весьма неплохой представитель своего жанра. Моя итоговая оценка — 7 баллов из 10.

Рекомендую. Игра интересная. Есть выбор сложности.

Есть оригинальные идеи. Хороший баланс, уровни достаточно сложные, чтобы быть интересными, но не слишком, чтобы застрять на них.
