Done up in a combination of old school cartoons, mixed with some down and dirty film noir. Cartoon sure, but, cartoon brutal. Watch flesh melt from bones, or heads get blown off. All in this extremely cute animation style, and see dancing flowers. I’m only playing on hard difficulty, and I would say, it’s presenting a bit of a challenge. Some areas I breeze through, but, only because of skill, tactics, and determination. But I will admit I got beat up pretty bad by one boss a few times in a row, because I was playing till exhaustion and missed a few obvious clues. Which made me appreciate the game even more. Game is both punishing and rewarding. The story so far, from what I can tell, is written pretty well, and a mishmash of many concepts. The voice acting and animation of the characters you speak to, the writing of the dialogue, top notch. Combat feels fun and dynamic. Chaotic, but if you play it smart, you can really take advantage of the chaos. Weapons and abilities are all fun to use. ALSO, PLEASE DEVS, IF YOU SEE THIS, I READ THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE WAY THE SAFE AND LOCK MINI GAME IS PLAYED, WHERE DUE TO DIFFERENT RENDERING RESOLUTIONS, THE MOUSE TAIL IS NOT LONG ENOUGH TO REACH TO COMPLETE THEM. I HAD THAT WITH TWO SAFES. HAD IT HAPPEN WITH TWO OR THREE WITH SPIKES IN THEM, AND THOSE ARE THE MOSR REWARDING. PLEASE FIX IT.
