I love the art stille and fun

Only a few hours in but I suspect it's a shorter time to beat and I feel I've seen enough to say that this is 100% a recommend. It's a fun and relaxing FPS with a creative setting and unique feeling. I really like looking for secrets and enjoy the gunplay. Really fun weapons and upgrade system, and I absolutely love how you can change film grain and sound etc. to fit your noir taste. I would pick it up on sale like I did.

Honestly, this game is a lot of fun, and I've enjoyed completing it, but the game suffers from trying to cram too many references. I don't mind references to old cartoons or cheese, as these made sense in the presented world, but some of them were also clealy riffing off more recent themes and memes, which in my opinion missed the mark and were pointless. Thankfully they did not the retracted fun from the game.

It's alright. It's pretty easy as far as shooters go, it's sort of hard to die when you're swimming in health and ammo pickups. By the end I found fights a bit of a chore. The story is a stock-standard over-the-top noir detective narrative. The humour is genuinely very funny, but may lean too meta for some people. The art style is definitely its strongest point and never falters. It's also a bit buggy, but the devs seem to be responsive to players' complaints and have fixed a lot of the major design issues from release. In conclusion... eh? I agree mostly with the negative reviews to be honest, but I had enough fun that I don't really regret it.
