Late game kingdom ruling sucks, endless sieges nothing else to do

For a game where the core idea is that you command your troops, the troops sure don't listen. It's a fun game and I love grand strategy, but it is rough when you're commanding 60 cavalry and they won't charge into a group of archers. It's also frustrating to get into a battle with other lords as allies, and you don't get to pick the command you want. I played this game a lot, but just got frustrated by the soldiers not following my orders, or failing to commit to a charge. Watching the lets plays of naval combat looked terrible since the crew always wants to board instead of defending the ship once grappled. I just wish the AI for your soldiers was better and they fundamentally listened. Great game otherwise though.
