# Mortal Shell 2 – Review After **54 hours**, I finally got the Platinum Trophy in *Mortal Shell 2*, and honestly, I really enjoyed my time with the game. Compared to the first *Mortal Shell*, I think this is a **big improvement**. The graphics are really nice, and the world you explore is beautiful. For some reason, the atmosphere reminded me a lot of *Dark Souls III*, especially when you're just walking around and exploring the different areas. The **combat feels really good and responsive**. Most of the time, fighting enemies feels satisfying, and there are quite a few boss fights that I really enjoyed. But I do think some of the bosses felt a little rushed, especially when it comes to their movesets. Don't get me wrong, the **boss designs are really cool and unique**, but some bosses have movesets that make the fights way harder than they actually need to be. The biggest example for me is the **final boss**. The design is really cool, but I honestly didn't like the moveset very much. There are attacks that can instantly grab you and knock you out of your Shell, a ton of AoE attacks, and the boss moves around so much that I felt like I was spending half the fight just running after it. It took me almost **5 hours to beat the final boss**, and it wasn't really because I thought the boss was super hard. It was more because some of the attacks were so fast that they could easily catch me off guard. The amount of running around also made the fight feel way longer than it needed to be. I would have much rather had a boss that stayed aggressive and kept the fight going instead of constantly moving away from the player. One thing I felt was missing from the game was **more music**, especially while exploring the world. I think having more music playing in the background could have made the atmosphere and exploration feel even better. As someone who played the first *Mortal Shell*, I was also really happy to see **Harros** return. I spent a lot of time playing as Harros in the first game, so seeing him again was a really nice callback. Sadly, you don't actually get to play as him, which was a bit disappointing. I really wish we could have used Harros again. I also wish there were **more new Shells** to play with. It would have been really cool to get more Shells, weapons, locations, modifiers, and maps. I think there is a lot of room for the developers to add more content to the game instead of mostly relying on New Game+. Hopefully, we get some kind of **DLC** in the future. I would definitely play it if they added more areas, bosses, Shells, or other new content. And honestly, this game has made me pretty excited about the possibility of **Mortal Shell 3**. If the developers keep improving on what they have done with this game, I think the third game could be even better. As for the **performance**, the game ran pretty well for me overall. Before the patch on **August 29**, I did have some lag and performance issues, but after the patch things felt much smoother. Other than that, I didn't really have many problems. Overall, I had a **really good time with Mortal Shell 2**. It's a big step up from the first game in my opinion, and I really enjoyed the combat, environments, boss designs, and overall atmosphere. There are definitely some things I think could have been better, especially some of the boss movesets, the lack of music during exploration, and the amount of post-game content. But none of that stopped me from having a good time. If you enjoyed the first *Mortal Shell* or you're just a fan of **Soulslike games**, I definitely recommend giving this one a try. **Really fun game. Got the Platinum, enjoyed the ride, and now I'm hoping for Mortal Shell 3.**
Such a good time. If you enjoy Soulslikes. This is among the best in the genre.
нормальная бродилка
Decent
6/10 game is very unbalanced and hp scaling is all over the place. combat is satifying and forgiving to an extent and love the regaining shell mechanic after it dies. could have a quest system so you remember things or have some guidance because i got to a point where i was missing OVA but had beaten all the bosses and shrines i could find. The game dosn't tell you this so you are forced to wander. worth it for the price imo
Best souls like since Elden Ring
佳作
Un vicio de juego, nunca me han gustado los souls y este es el primero que me paso al 100%, muy recomendado, si tuviera que decir algo malo que se me hizo muy corto.
