A mother and her son uncover the mystery shrouding the manor in which they are imprisoned. To escape, they need to cooperate without letting panic take over, while the manor – or what haunts it – tries to separate them. In this suspenseful game, will you be able to accept the truths revealed to you?

"Moonlight Mansion" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from UQAT - Création et nouveaux médias in Quebec (also a great way to get a high scrabble score if you can land that on a triple word score). This is the result of an academic exercise for students. It's not a full, complete game in the way professionally developed products are. While it has more quality than most amateur games, it's not a complete gaming experience. Student projects have limited value for gamers because they're not fully developed games, just barely functional demos that show the students progress. Steam is not a place for for-profit colleges to dump student homework assignments... and having thousands of these is not good for gamers. The students made a game that doesn't work, but published it anyway. Good job guys. This is a two player game where you strut around through a haunted house. One player controls the mother, the other controls the little kid, Henry... well, that's the idea, but the game is bugged and both players can only control the mother, which renders the game unplayable. Wow. Did UQAT give any of the students a passing grade for this disaster? I hope not. Maybe the students graduated and went on to make Concorde for Sony. That would explain a lot. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's look at the price and what kind of value this actually offers gamers. It would be unethical for students to try charge money for their homework assignments, so you don't have to pay any money for this. But you'd still have to spend your time downloading this, and "time is money", as they say. There's the other problem, too... as a student project, this wasn't made for gamers. There's no requirement for them to polish and balance the game properly, all they need is something to show the faculty so they can get their grade and move on. Let's once more ask... why is that good for gamers? It's obviously not delivering a solid product. Yet here it is, on the store page, and here you are, reading my review for a student demo that's going to waste your time. While genuine amateur developers who made real products get ignored because they have to compete with this stuff. In some ways, this deluge of student projects on Steam is harmful to everyone. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 9 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. This isn't a complete game for gamers, just a glorified homework assignment, and there's no profile benefits like a +1 count to your game collector badge, so I can't recommend adding it to your library.

Es wird nicht geklärt wie man zusammen spielen kann
This game is pretty nice. Maybe not too long and not too scary, played with my sister and she wasn't scared. It is unfortunately for only 20 minutes unless you want to play again therefore the plot doesn't interest that much. I would like to see more games like this and even would pay for that. Just longer. And repair a bug when I was crawling as the kid I fell out of the map somehow.
for $0.50 yes worth the entertainment. THIS GAMES NEEDS MORE, i love this having to stay with your mom the whole time, staying in the light and the tiny puzzles :) idk if they made anything else like this game i would love to play more of this style it was very fun. you have to have 2 controllers tho to make the game work.
