Just like the previous installment in this series, this game suffers from an extremely boring and annoying mid-game during the story. The entire area is lacking in anything interesting, sure it's supposed to be a desert but the level design is horrible. Not to mention the main interest in the game is capturing monsters right? Well too bad, literally only have 3 or 4 new monsters to capture until you progress further into the story. The rare dens? Literally no point, one of 3 options is a royal monster that you probably caught and farmed before. The actual story? A complete slog at this point. It's a real shame. The beginning of the game was absolutely wondrous and enjoyable, be it the music, gameplay, monsters. I'll probably stick through the game since the end game monsters are beckoning me, but really, I'm just tempted to rush through the story and skip the cutscenes at this point instead of actually playing the game.
