It's fun, but it's by far the easiest MH game, even compared to Wilds. The pre-DLC maps are kind of a mess and are annoying to navigate, the vocal tracks in the village, and earlier gen MH hitboxes contribute a lot to small annoyances. While it's a fine game, it's two steps backwards from World's three steps forward. Really, unless it's on sale, go with World or Wilds(after the expansion hits) and don't treat Switch kiddies like their opinions of MH games matters much.

I love monster hunter. The series is very addictive and has plenty of content to keep you entertained for a very long time. Rise is a great entry in the series. Boasting awesome new mechanics, like the silkbugs, that let you traverse the battlegrounds like you are spider-man. 9/10

a game where an evil ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monkey goku thing will tickle your butthole with no aftercare pretty fun 10/10
