might seem boring to others but great afk sim Mob Trader is an incredibly fun and addictive game for those who love collecting and trading digital items. It’s a simple concept that’s executed well, and if you enjoy the thrill of finding rare items and trading them with other players, this game is for you! What Makes It Great: 🎮 Constant Drops: Every 60 minutes, you get a new mob in the form of a Steam Item. This gives you something to look forward to and keeps the gameplay loop fresh. It’s exciting to see what kind of mob you’ll get next! 💎 Collectible Mobs: There are three tiers of mobs—Common, Rare, and Mythical—and they all have different drop rates. Collecting these mobs and showing them off or trading them with other players gives a real sense of accomplishment. 💥 Rotating Drops: The weekly rotating drops keep things interesting. With new Common, Rare, and Mythical mobs being added to the item shop, you always have new content to check out and trade. It’s great to see different mobs come in and out of the spotlight. 🔄 Upcoming Features: The ability to exchange mobs for additional rolls is an exciting feature in development. Trading common mobs for rarer ones will add an extra layer of strategy and make collecting even more fun. Things to Keep in Mind: 🕒 Slow at First: While the game is fun, it can take a little while to start building up your collection, especially when you're just starting out. But the anticipation of waiting for your next mob drop makes it worth it! 📉 Drop Rates: While the drop rates are clearly explained, the chances of getting Mythical mobs are very low (0.01%). So don’t expect to get them often, but when you do, it’s definitely a rewarding moment. Final Thoughts: Mob Trader is a great casual game for players who enjoy collecting, trading, and seeing their collections grow over time. The rotating drops and upcoming features give it plenty of replayability, and the thrill of getting a new mob keeps you coming back every hour. If you’re into trading on the Steam Market and love the idea of building a cool collection, this game is a fun and engaging way to do it!

Mob Trader is one of those really simple games that I can understand almost immediately. The whole idea is that I poke a dungeon and then wait for it to give me a mob. Every 60 minutes I can receive another mob as a Steam item, with different creatures having different rarities. From there I can build up my collection and trade the items through the Steam Market. There is not really a traditional game here, and I think that is important to understand before I judge it. It is much closer to an idle collectathon built around Steam inventory items. The collecting part is probably what I find most enjoyable. There are common, rare and mythical mobs, with the standard drop chances heavily favouring common creatures. I like the little creature designs and the fact that each mob has its own journal entry. Finding another creature and seeing what it is gives me a small reason to check back later. There are also weekly rotating active drops, so the available mobs change over time instead of giving me exactly the same selection forever. That gives the collection a little more movement. I also like how little effort the game asks from me. I do not have to sit there constantly clicking buttons or managing a complicated idle system. I can leave it running and come back when another drop is available. That makes it easy to fit around other games and normal computer use. The seven achievements are also based around leaving the game running for longer periods, which matches the whole idea. It is basically designed to be something that sits quietly in the background rather than demanding my attention all the time. The problem is that there is almost no actual gameplay beyond collecting the drops. I am not exploring the dungeon, fighting the mobs or building some kind of creature team. I am mostly waiting for another Steam item to appear. The planned exchange system is supposed to let me trade three common mobs for a rare roll and three rare mobs for a mythical roll, but that is described as a feature in development rather than something I can rely on as part of the core experience. Because of that, the progression feels extremely thin. Once I understand the collection system, there is not much else for me to learn or master. The Steam Market integration is also a major part of the experience, but I do not think it automatically makes the game more interesting. The mobs are tradeable Steam items, and there are a lot of individual listings available for some of the common creatures. That makes collecting them feel more like collecting digital items than playing a normal game. I actually think the idea has some charm when I treat it as a little background collection project, but if I want something with meaningful interaction, this is far too limited. The fact that the game itself is free does help because I am not paying an entry price for such a small experience. I do appreciate the presentation more than I expected. The hand drawn creatures have some personality, and the strange journal descriptions give the collection a bit of humour and atmosphere. Some of the creatures are cute while others lean into darker fantasy ideas, so there is at least some variety in what I am collecting. I just wish the game did more with those creatures. A simple way to interact with them, some kind of dungeon progression or even more interesting collection goals could have turned the basic idea into something much stronger. Overall, Mob Trader is a very limited idle collection game that I think works best when I treat it as a small Steam companion rather than a proper game. I like the creature designs, rotating drops, rarity system and the fact that I can slowly build a collection without constantly having to play. At the same time, the actual interaction is extremely shallow, and most of the experience revolves around waiting for another item. For me, that makes it more interesting as a curiosity than something I would actively play for long periods. It has a neat little idea behind it, but there simply is not enough gameplay here for me to rate it particularly highly. Rating: 6.6/10
My experience with the game can be summarised to "leave it be in the back of the computer and forget about it". The only interaction is clicking on the door, and the game is forced into full screen. As for the achievements... Aaaah, you need 16 days worth of AFK (or just as long of clicking the door) in playtime, with absolutely no other option than just... waiting. A very forgettable non-experience, I could leave the "game" open and go on holidays that I wouldn't notice the difference upon coming back (aside from the electricity bill spiking up)
