horrible sensitive so bad i could not play
Як горор на вечір непогано, але оптимізація головна проблема. Для мене вже ні, але для багатьох інших наврядчи вдастся нормально пограти (але 32 гб оперативки, це вже сюр).
Mirrored Phantoms is a psychological horror experience developed by SMU Guildhall and Cohort 33, with publishing handled by SMU Guildhall. Built around exploration, environmental storytelling, and suspense, the game transports players into a nightmarish mannequin factory where reality itself appears fractured. Rather than focusing on combat or fast-paced survival mechanics, the experience leans heavily into atmosphere and psychological tension, creating a sense of dread that steadily intensifies as players venture deeper into its unsettling world. The game's premise revolves around a mysterious factory plagued by strange occurrences linked to shattered mirrors and supernatural forces. From the moment players enter the abandoned facility, they are surrounded by an overwhelming feeling of unease. Every corridor seems to conceal a secret, while every room hints at a tragedy that unfolded long before the player's arrival. The story gradually reveals itself through environmental clues and exploration, encouraging players to actively piece together the mystery instead of relying on lengthy exposition. This approach gives the narrative a stronger sense of immersion and makes discoveries feel rewarding. One of the most impressive aspects of Mirrored Phantoms is its setting. The factory is far more than a simple backdrop; it becomes a character in its own right. Rusting machinery, broken mirrors, dark hallways, and countless mannequins create an environment that feels genuinely hostile. The developers effectively use these visual elements to generate anxiety. Mannequins, in particular, play a crucial role in maintaining tension. Their lifeless appearance constantly raises questions about whether they are harmless decorations or something far more sinister, ensuring that players remain uncomfortable throughout the journey. The visual design successfully balances realism and surrealism. While the factory appears grounded in reality, many areas feature distorted architecture and dreamlike transitions that suggest something unnatural is at work. Reflections, lighting effects, and environmental details contribute to an atmosphere where nothing feels entirely trustworthy. This visual uncertainty complements the game's psychological themes and keeps players questioning what is real. The world often feels as though it exists between reality and nightmare, creating a memorable identity that separates it from more conventional horror titles. Exploration forms the core of the gameplay experience. Players navigate through interconnected areas while searching for clues, solving puzzles, and uncovering pieces of the factory's dark history. The puzzles are generally straightforward but serve an important purpose by reinforcing immersion and encouraging careful observation. Rather than existing solely as obstacles, many of these challenges are tied directly to the narrative, helping players understand the strange events unfolding around them. This design choice ensures that progression feels meaningful and connected to the overall mystery. The horror itself relies primarily on psychological pressure rather than frequent jump scares. Mirrored Phantoms excels at creating anticipation. Long stretches of silence, distant sounds, and subtle environmental changes often prove more effective than direct threats. The game understands that fear is frequently strongest when players are uncertain about what might happen next. This slow-building approach allows tension to accumulate naturally and results in a more lingering form of horror that stays with players even after they stop playing. Another strength lies in the game's pacing. Instead of rushing players through a series of scripted scares, it encourages deliberate exploration and gradual discovery. This measured structure gives the atmosphere room to breathe and allows players to absorb the details hidden throughout the environment. The mystery surrounding the shattered mirrors and the factory's cursed past unfolds steadily, rewarding patience with new revelations and unsettling discoveries. Horror fans who enjoy investigative storytelling will likely appreciate this approach. As a free-to-play project, Mirrored Phantoms demonstrates a surprising level of ambition. The production values, environmental design, and overall presentation reveal a clear passion for the horror genre. The developers successfully create a world that feels carefully crafted and filled with purpose. The game may not possess the scale of larger commercial releases, but it compensates with strong atmosphere and a focused vision that remains consistent from beginning to end. The experience is not entirely without flaws. Some players may find the slower pace restrictive, particularly if they prefer horror games centered around constant danger or action-oriented mechanics. The emphasis on atmosphere and exploration means that moments of direct confrontation are relatively limited. Additionally, the story leaves certain details open to interpretation, which enhances the mystery for some players but may leave others wanting more definitive answers. These issues do little to undermine the overall experience, but they may affect how different audiences respond to the game. Ultimately, Mirrored Phantoms succeeds as a chilling psychological horror adventure that prioritizes mood, mystery, and environmental storytelling. Its haunting mannequin factory, unsettling visual design, and carefully constructed atmosphere create a compelling sense of dread that remains effective throughout the experience. While it may not appeal to players seeking action-heavy horror, those who enjoy slow-burning suspense, exploration, and narrative-driven mysteries will find plenty to appreciate. The game stands as an impressive showcase of creative horror design and proves that atmosphere can be just as powerful as outright terror when executed effectively. Rating: 7/10

I feel like there's something im missing here. the negative reviews bring up stuff like "not thinking outside the box" and complain about it not running well. I mean i got it running on my potato just fine and even if it didnt revolutionize indie horror like i guess these people need it was really good. imho this has no business being free when so many games like it don't run, have zero charm or personal touch, lack any and all sense of pacing, structure, or level design, and just use stock assets exclusively. seriously, what did i miss here? this game is great at what it does, its a spooky short experience with light stealth and puzzles that are forgiving enough you don't get stuck or grow tired, but still engaging enough to keep going. if youre into indie horror on a budget and can tolerate some polish issues like any other indie horror game has, try this out and have some fun. UPDATE: ok i just saw this was made by students?! thats INSANE. this is absolutely NUTS (as in good) if this is a student project and anyone saying otherwise thank you for telling me you dont know anything about making games without telling me that.
good game, the ia of the monster is ok, for other games need a better optimization
