the game is really good !! the artstyle is so cute <3, i just wish it was longer, and some of the text wasnt loading :(.. 8/10!!!

Сами уровни компактные, но предлагают достаточную сложность, чтобы не было скучно. Особенно радует внимание к деталям, такие как забавные анимации персонажа и приятная музыка. Хотя игра и не предлагает каких-то революционных механик, она отлично выполняет свою задачу - развлекать и расслаблять. Несмотря на свою простоту, 'MiniBob' затягивает. Собирать монетки и открывать новые уровни – увлекательное занятие. В некоторых местах может не хватать глубины и разнообразия, но для своей цены это вполне оправданный выбор. В целом, это хороший платформер, который оставит после себя приятные впечатления. Рекомендую всем, кто любит пиксельную графику и незамысловатый геймплей.

"MiniBob" is a student project, I think. It's a simple 2D point and click "adventure" game where you take on the role of a smart home assistant robot, click through discussions, do a few mobile/Flash tier cleaning minigames, with a somewhat needless ethical subtext stapled on clumsily. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. There's an overwhelming amount of mediocre Visual Novel/E-book style cutscenes in this game. The developers failed one of the most basic, fundamental requirements of game design.. "Show, don't tell." So you'll spend a huge amount of time not playing the game, but clicking through endless lines of poorly written VN text cutscenes because the developers couldn't work out how to relate their narrative through the game mechanics, and decided instead it would be better to compete with reading a book for your time. We're here to play games, not read through hours of garbage intersituals. Your gaming rig is not a Kindle. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at [b]only 3 concurrent players[/b]... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? I think it's best to skip this download. While it won't necessarily cost you money, the time and hard drive space it requires could be better invested in one of the many higher-quality alternatives on Steam.
