Seem ok, you just get unstoppabely irradicated repeatedly... like whats the point of walls if they don't block anything? Also theres no way to change the aspect ratio so you can actually see the options at the bottom of the end screen? Hard to get excited to play it more

So sadly, it took me a LONG time to get to this game since it kept climbing down the priority ladder. I thought I'd make a small showcase video and thought of doing it with those "bottom" pf the ladder games, starting with Mind Keeper. Well…. I was very wrong. I loved it. This is easy a game I can see myself getting lost in. So many roguelike elements. The hand drawn style and not only hand drawn style, the game draws itself as you play which I thought was such a clever game design (maybe another game has done this before, but I haven't played it and it's not something we see every day). Like many roguelikes (and I suppose Tower Defense) games usually do, you'll also use a card system to select perks for that run. Each wave will bring a plethora of weird face monsters you'll have to attack and destroy to progress to the next wave. You start the game with a crossbow but can purchase other weapons through the main menu. You'll also have a skill tree in the main menu, where you can get skills and traits that remain permanent. Part of the game play is adding tower defense tactics…like building towers and…. Defending them. To be honest, this was the biggest "nah" factor for me. I don't enjoy tower defense games. I stay away from them like the plague, but I do find myself liking roguelikes (which I also thought I wouldn’t like since it has a high potential of frustration). The game gets tough and there are things I didn’t really understand like why did I die when it hit nighttime? Or how do I defeat the masked ones? They seemed dependent on the faces but then they didn't? I was very confused. The game is in Early Access, so I imagine these were things that they might've thought of addressing at some point, but… ⚠️⚠️Per the Steam store page and Early Access Disclosure, the developer has not updated the game in 13 months. It would be really sad if they don't continue developing the game because it really was fun to play. I did access their Discord and discussion board and neither have been updated since 2025. :( ⚠️⚠️ Extremely unfortunate. It was extremely fun to play and I was really invested. This is a game I would absolutely recommend under different circumstances. As it stands, I can't recommend a game that the developers just up and left leaving the game abandoned. For an abandoned game, the price is quite expensive too. 2 very important reasons to not recommend a game. If it is ever heavily (and I mean heavily) discounted, sure, but be aware that the game isn't perfect and it will not get fixed, *Update* From Discord, the developer communicated that they are working on content update but "there was no rush with this one". So, we shall see! Maybe there is hope after all.
