Incredible so far… 9/10 I can’t believe how awesome this TCG is. Bravo!! **Pros:** - Crypto integration - Fun, beautiful sound FX - Daily quests are nice - Great gameplay - Can duel my friends **Cons:** - No in-game chat or social features - No “My Leaderboard” position available - Missing 2v2 or 1v1v1v1 modes - Hard to ramp from CB to TroveToken Looking forward to more cards and game features.
I don't usually like to review games still in early access but sometimes my spidey senses start tingling and I need to say something. Mechanically the game itself is decent enough, it's different enough and stands out from a sea of Hearthstone clones, but we need to address the greedy elephant in the room: https://steamcommunity.com/games/3918850/announcements/detail/676250550367422789 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3739291559 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3702181354 This game is still in early beta, still only has a third of all the playable factions, still only has a SINGLE champion per faction... and yet they're already heavily shilling monetization, battlepasses, and "limited time" cosmetics. As a long time Might & Magic fan I want this game to succeed, I really do, but all the signs and red flags are there that this is going to be a dine & dash on Ubisoft's part. A year or two from now they're going to pull the plug and shut down the servers. You just watch. It's with a heavy heart that I give this thumbs down recommendation, because I really like the core gameplay.

Ubisoft… Dear Ubisoft. You destroyed one of the best card games ever made — Duel of Champions. And now you have the audacity to come back with this? You couldn’t even be bothered to create new cards — you just reused graphics from Duel in many cases. Shame on you.

Might & Magic Fates - Heroes TCG marks Ubisoft's latest expansion of the long-running fantasy franchise by adapting its legendary world into a modern digital trading card game. Instead of focusing on large-scale kingdom management or role-playing adventures, the game shifts its attention toward tactical card battles where strategy, planning, and careful deck construction determine victory. Set within the mystical Sea of Fates, a realm where different timelines and realities intersect, the game introduces an original narrative while preserving the recognizable heroes, creatures, factions, and magical atmosphere that have defined the Might & Magic universe for decades. The result is a game that feels familiar to longtime fans without requiring previous knowledge of the series, making it approachable for newcomers while still celebrating its rich fantasy heritage. The gameplay centers on assembling personalized decks from an expanding collection of cards that represent legendary heroes, fearsome creatures, devastating spells, artifacts, and unique structures capable of influencing the battlefield. Every match encourages players to think several turns ahead, balancing offense, defense, resource management, and card synergy rather than relying on luck alone. Hero progression adds another strategic layer by allowing powerful leaders to develop throughout battle, unlocking new abilities that can dramatically change the flow of combat. The available factions—including Haven, Necropolis, Inferno, and Academy—each possess their own identity and mechanics, creating meaningful differences in playstyle that encourage experimentation and replayability. Whether players prefer overwhelming aggression, calculated control, magical superiority, or defensive endurance, the game offers enough variety to support multiple competitive approaches. A notable strength lies in its emphasis on rewarding strategic thinking instead of simply encouraging larger card collections. Deck customization provides considerable flexibility, giving players opportunities to combine cards creatively and discover effective synergies rather than forcing them into predetermined archetypes. Positioning, ability timing, and efficient resource usage all contribute to success, ensuring that victories feel earned through intelligent decision-making. Solo-focused players are also given meaningful content through seasonal activities, faction challenges, and progression systems that allow them to expand their collections without exclusively relying on competitive multiplayer. Ranked matches, meanwhile, provide an environment where experienced players can continually refine their decks and measure their skills against others from around the world. Presentation is another area where the game succeeds. The artwork remains faithful to the classic fantasy style associated with the Might & Magic franchise, featuring detailed character illustrations, impressive creature designs, and visually striking spell effects. Every faction possesses a distinct artistic identity, helping each deck feel unique while reinforcing the world's lore. The interface is clean and organized, making complex matches easier to follow even as multiple abilities and effects trigger during a turn. Audio elements complement the visuals with atmospheric music and magical sound effects that reinforce the feeling of commanding legendary armies rather than simply playing cards. Together, these production values help create a polished atmosphere that enhances the strategic gameplay without becoming distracting. As an Early Access release, the game is still evolving, and Ubisoft openly acknowledges that balancing, progression, and content expansion will continue through ongoing updates influenced by community feedback. That transparency works in the game's favor because its existing systems already demonstrate a strong strategic foundation while leaving room for refinement. Players who enjoy participating in the growth of competitive games will likely appreciate the steady introduction of new cards, adjustments, and seasonal content, while those who prefer a fully completed experience may choose to wait until development reaches its final stages. The game's stated commitment to fair progression, where purchases remain optional rather than essential for competitiveness, is also encouraging in a genre that is often criticized for aggressive monetization. Overall, Might & Magic Fates - Heroes TCG successfully transforms one of fantasy gaming's most recognizable franchises into an engaging digital card game built around thoughtful tactics, flexible deckbuilding, and meaningful progression. It respects the legacy of the series while introducing mechanics that feel contemporary and accessible, creating an experience capable of appealing to both dedicated fans and players looking for a fresh strategic card battler. Although additional content and balance improvements will be important as development continues, the current foundation already showcases considerable promise. With continued support and regular updates, the game has the potential to establish itself as a strong competitor within the digital trading card genre. Rating: 6/10
