Worst waste of time ever Don’t waste your time! You will have to watch lengthy ads hawking fake cures for obesity, diabetes, dementia, ad nauseam. They will burn up your battery time and you will be sitting and twiddling your thumbs instead of playing the games. Would give a rating of zero stars if that was allowed.
ads with premium! Why am I getting ads with premium! The app loads ads before it checks for premium status and right now even after it loads premium status in seeing ads. Come on Microsoft. No ads means no ads. Check that status before you try showing ads and adhere to that status.
Subscription Issue Annual Subscription paid 12/2025, yet I was asked to renew twice on 2/6/26 and 2/10/26. 2/28/26 and I am still getting renewal notices. Still asked to renew, but does not expire until 12/2026
Ads on paid app This is a great selection of games. I choose to pay for it by the year to avoid the endless commercials. I recently suffered commercials again on my microsoft solitaire app. I have automatic renew on my yearly payment but the commercials persist. I cannot remedy this situation although I have tried. Enjoy your purchase of the game but beware of the persistent commercials.
Ads and I pay for premium I pay for a yearly premium subscription and still get ads????
Looong Ads This app recently switched to 60-second unskippable ads. The ads play before you can even start a game, so by the time the ad is done, so am I. The games are still good, with a nice variety and several challenges, but the ads are too long for a potty break.
Spider This game is not working. It’s will not let me move cards on the right side and will not allow me to get more cards
Horrible ads Great games, absolutely atrocious ads. You can only disable them with a monthly subscription, so that means you can never own this game. Suck my dick, Microsoft.
Updated Review—Updated Again. A FEW MONTHs LATER:: Hopefully players are reading this review. Anyway, I think my implied point about Microsoft exerting some control over the adds is more than valid. After the below commentary, I am getting minute-long ads with no out. As an example, today I had a minute long add for people with diabetes/high blood sugar. I don’t have either and I should be able to pass on the ad within five seconds. At my age, it’s sixty seconds out of what life I have left. A FEW MONTHS ago: The earlier review of five years ago is below should anyone want to read it. There are two perspectives regarding the game. One is the players and I can’t imagine any player not overwhelmed by the sheer number of ads. The other view is Microsoft which is about making money. Five years after the below review, nothing has changed to the advantage of the player. But here’s the additional problem. There are dozens of Meta ads for Facebook and Instagram that are long and have no quick out. But I would imagine that most people playing Solitaire already have those two apps. I do and I am subjected to long repetitive ads for something I already have. PLEASE, give the players an X to out or a button that says “I have this app.” That would leave only Royal Kingdom as the only super annoying ad. FIVE YEARS Earlier: I have been playing for several years, and the developers seem to be trying to add new twists and make the game better. Bully for them. The free versions has ads which one should expect, but they seem to have upped the frequency and duration. As to the adds, I would love to have a relevance button since I am seventy-five and not likely to be Zynn (or Tik Tok) performer. That would, or should include an ad profile option to tailor ads to specific audiences, instead of using some algorithm. One other option I would love to see on the daily challenges (which I do, you guessed it, daily) is to have a “play through” button to allow one to finish the game even after having reached the required winning level. Later note: I read several reviews, and many are spot on in their criticism. The problem is the developers really don’t seem eager to fix relatively easy issues: (1) if the connection is lost or broken the time should freeze in the timed games. The players get penalized for something beyond their control. (2) Perhaps a pause should be added because sometimes important things come up. (3) and this is due to my skepticism— there are people winning the timed daily challenges at very suspicious speed—for instance today someone did five TriPeaks games in about one minute. Perhaps they are hacking the program and letting the computer do it—if so, they should, or at least their scores, should be negated. The developers could easily determine what the time threshold would be to finish a game legitimately. Even later note in reference to item three: I look at both the group scores and overall scores every day, and anyone can see that the top overall scores are not people playing serious solitaire, but rather people who have hacked the program to see if they can beat the collective time of the other hackers. Even some of their game names suggest their lack of conventional play. Seems like an omission of the developers that they cannot outsmart these non-players.
