METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Guns of the Patriots - Master Collection Version

We actually got MGS4GotP for PC, before GTA VI :V. IT's playing waaay better than I hoped for; still hasn't immersed myself in Key+Mouse, still, it's not a terrible PS3 port, that, If I'm not mistaken, it was one of the worst time periods to import games to PC. I laughed when there wasn't an >50 minutes loading screen of Solid Snake smoking a cigarette.

Kept you waiting, huh?! MGS4- finally free from the PlayStation 3. A masterpiece of a video game. Epic conclusion to the story of the Metal Gear series.

The most amazing end to a series and the best port I have ever played. Revisiting this game was a real blast.I'm glad MGS4 finally got the love it deserved. The game runs perfectly on the Deck. I was even able to upscale to 1080p with no loss to framerate. I had it capped at 40fps but you could probably play this at 60fps.

Never thought I'd see this officially released for the PC. I jokingly opened Steam after a few years not gaming and looked this up. Immediately bought it. This was the first game I ever played on the PS3. I had the very first generation of the Fat and MGS4 was included in the bundle, back in 2008 (thanks dad). I was only 7 back then and the mechanics, lore etc were all brand new. What fascinated me most were the aesthetics of this game and the kits of the PMCs, and it felt extremely niche and cool to be in the know of what appeared to be an "underground" game with a moderate learning curve (particularly since I didn't speak English at the time). Back then I couldn't get past Vamp on Act 4. 10 years later, in 2018, I borrowed my brother's PS3 for an entire season for the sole purpose of revisiting this title. Then I bought the Legacy Collection, a converter from VGA to HDMI and audio adapters I could use with my old monitor and the PS3. Here we are again in 2026. I won't say this is the best MGS because I only barely played MGSV (and Ground Zeroes), but it's certainly worth a run. Good weapon customization and gunplay, and decent replayability value. This game is also a movie. If only you could still play MGS Online...

I played this game on PS3 back in 2008, it's been 18 years that been stuck in PS3 and now finally freed from the PS3's prison and came to PC version! This game is the best that I ever play 10 of 10! 👍
