METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Guns of the Patriots - Master Collection Version

I'd been waiting for 18 years to play this game, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Thank God, Konami finally found a way to free MGS4 from the prison of PS3. Hideo Kojima is a genius of gaming design but it was very foolish of him to make MGS4 exclusive on PS3. Sony and any company that encourages making games exclusive shall be terminated. Games shall be accessible for all the gamers. The tragedy of MGS4 has already shown us how being exclusive was harmful to both the gamers and the gaming companies.

Oh boy. I had high hopes for this one. I played all the 3d Metal Gear titles besides Metal Gear Acid and I have to say that this game kind of ranks low. I had hoped for it to be in my top 3 at least. I had higher expectations for the game itself. They added many gimmicks of which many you dont even need to use. You can lie on the floor roll around and get on your back and aim etc but for what? This is just an example but the gimmicks and movement dont fit the game. The levels and enemies are like from ps2/ps1 gen but the gimmicks and movement arent kind of. So basically they wasted their potential. Pros: *Gunplay *Some characters *Story ties up all loose ends Cons: *Cringe Moments *Some Characters *4th wall breaks *Levels *Enemies *The game isnt too hard but some parts/bosses of the game are very finicky. *Nostalgia bait *3 hour story sequences (do yourself the a favour and watch the story after the last boss fight on youtube on 2x and skip it ingame/credit writing is unskippable) All in all i found Peacewalker even though it was a mobile title more fun so go figure. All in all 7/10 might even be a 6.5. So yeah a huge let down and that's why it will get a thumbs down from me.

Well i bought the ps3 years ago just so i can play mgs 4 Guns of the Patriots. For me its a real great end to the Story. That this game is more a movie then a game with that i dont got any issues because the cutscenes are animated well and are almost always story relevant. I am so glad that i can replay this one now on the PC and i finished it now. Just as good as i remember. The Port itself worked great for me. no crashes or stuttering. Would recommend this game. The asking price is more then worth it. Hideo Kojima at his best is in this game.

Loving the Movie so far, can't wait to get to some gameplay.

Finally out of PS3 purgatory. And Konami actually did a really god job porting it out.
