METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Guns of the Patriots - Master Collection Version

I could say something funny but this game only deserves the highest of praise. I'll be thinking about this game and its message for a long time. A masterpiece.

It's Metal Gear Solid 4. There's not much to say, this game is a classic and the HD remake here is sound. If you never got a chance to play this back on PS3 and are a fan of the MGS series, this is almost a must play. The amount of fan service in this game is absolutely absurd, but it's delivered in a way that is over the top but still acceptable somehow. It's got the Hideo magic with just insane levels of detail and gameplay, it's got the weird with a clash of sci-fi and fantasy in a milsim stealth game, and all the player agency you can imagine for a game of this scale. Want to aid the locals and shoot your way through the map? Go for it. Kill everyone? No problem. Or play the 100% Stealth master super soldier Solid Snake experience? Yup that's here too. Hard to recommend for anyone who hasn't played at least 2-3 of the other games, because this one just dumps so much lore and plot with callbacks and characters from the other games straight out of the gate, and nothing ever really gets explained to catch you up. There is a Database you can get with the bundle, but honestly it's just a cleaned up wiki, and even with that you'll be pretty lost seeing a lot of this silly ♥♥♥♥ for the first time. It doesn't look like they've changed anything from the OG that I can see besides maybe cleaning up some of the fidelity and performance so you get a clean 120 fps+ experience? But other than that it's still the same graphic designs and textures of the PS3.
