I don't see anyone posting about how to use this thing. If you've been on a Meta Quest 3, you know that the browser allows you to visit sites like Moonrider.xyz and play WebXr games. This will add this functionality to your SteamVR Home on your PC based headset. Start the app, open the Desktop in VR, go to moonrider.xyz, click the "click here to enter VR". Click out of the desktop and that App is now running in Steam VR Home. It is probably a little buggy? I've seen some quirks but it's the only way I've seen how to do this type of thing.
I haven't tried the fancier stuff yet, just used the basic browser with WebXR support -- it was simple, easy and flawless using Metachromium + SteamVR + Oculus Link + Quest to run my WebXR apps on the PC to take advantage of a bigger GPU than the Quest can provide untethered. Familiar Chrome style browser interface, easy to use, simple and rock solid WebXR browser, thanks!
Just Does Overlay (I think). I thought this app integrated 2 VR apps into one, shared, 3D space. I think I am mistaken? I tried Metacrhomium home site (https://home.metachromium.com/) along with some of my VR apps (Space Pirate Trainer (fun game) and Visionary Render (work program for letting me look at 3D models in VR). It injected the scenes from the metachromium site into the other VR program but it seemed to be an overlay only? The objects from metachromium correctly occluded the objects in VR from Space Pirate Trainer or Visionary Render but when I put objects from Space Pirate Trainer or Visionary Render in front of the objects in Metachromium, they did not occlude the objects in Metachromium. Makes me think this is a really cool overlay program and it does not truly integrate the 2 VR programs into a shared, 3D space. Is that correct or am I doing something wrong? Still a cool app...just not what I thought it was.
This Browser is not even in VR anymore and is not recognized as such in Steam. You just 100% found an thread online to goon and found this software, well it doesn't work anymore or I messed something up.
