In general this game is just a lot of fun.
love this game, like battletech, with a little Xcom and battle brothers, can't wait to see what they add, definitely needs more customisation options. runs well on my pc.
The game is definitely worth keeping an eye on, giving it a chance, and waiting for the release. They’re cooking something pretty good.
100 Hours in Review Pluasable Landmak Game honestly. The combat and unit coordination is well done, although more Maps/Worlds/Factions would go a long way (Silloettes of Worlds are already teased). Personality of characters seem to really shine through for many. But the unit customization and ship/customization details is where the game really shows itself. WIth a little more polish this game can be a real Gem. It is one of my most anticipated released.
This is a really decent tactical combat game. They're not done developing it, but what's there is already very solid bones and enough meat to run on its own. Also, the voice acting for the PCs is pretty funny. Not "out of place" funny, but well scripted and performed.
One of the few early access games that's worth buying. Phenomenal turn-based tactics game with a great depth to its mechanics and a huge variety of playstyles to choose from, highly recommend it.

Menace is a delightful indie game bearing a delightful amount of homage to many classic sci fi series, with crunchy combat and a wide battlespace. Its still a little rough around the edges, especially with the randomness of the procedurally generated maps - though as of their diary just a few weeks ago, it sounds like this is headed towards a major update soon. Regardless, the customization is deep, meaningful, and every module, armour, or weapon purchased feels impactful. Also that opening cinematic deserves mention of its own. So good.
It's good and I was one of those people who just thought "I just want more Battle Brothers". I'd usually hold off on reviewing an early access game since it ain't finished but somebody at Hooded Horse keeps ending every update with a demand I(me, personally) give input on it and maybe Steam has engagement features so here it is: My only real complaint that I don't think is a result of missing content is the connective tissue between missions feels really shallow. They've added more character interaction with the events and some OCI(your base facilities essentially) but it still feels really disconnected. To cite Battle Brothers, X-COM, Jagged Alliance 2 or most anything we want to compare this to that has turns and guns, you never feel like you could strip out the strategic layer from those and have the same game. You have to be doing things like searching for contracts, or researching, or planning a move in some way. In Menace it never really feels like you're making a decision on what to do or where to go, just clicking the next operation while Haythorne says "we'll keep tabs on this". Even if they make the Necron threat more active and add more story phases to it it still feels like rather than proactively doing something the player might as well be on a caravan escort contract just fighting off attackers until it's over. Or, to utter words which may be best never spoken again: it reminds me of Chinera Squad where I'm just juggling like 3 anarchy meters and just picking whichever needs attention soonest rather than feeling like I'm working towards a goal.
