Great game!
I ♥♥♥♥♥♥' love this game. I've been sticking with Overhype since Battle Brothers, I was skeptical until I tried the Demo. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loved that, and see above my opinion for the early access release. It's so fun, there's so much to enjoy here already and the systems in place work so well, the banter between the characters are fun n' fluffy and help flesh out the setting more and it's just. It's just so good. Difficulty's got a lot of nitty gritty options to tweak to get the right amount of burn for your buck. My only request, Overhype, give me more unskilled ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SL's to send into battle. Yes, I appreciate the tacticool operators who're really good at their jobs, I just really enjoy the 1 star SL bumble-teams. That is all.
Really enjoyable sci-fi turn based squad shooter. Looking forward to see what the devs add next.
Very Fun Even for early access and i typically only play rts games never turn based
Great game that's constantly receiving updates. If you played Battle Brothers before you can expect the same level of quality, and its proving to only get better.
I leaked
Sound design is great, the amount of playstyle and stuff you can buy/upgrade is delicious, the whole game in general is good You may just get stomped the first few times, but after a few restart you will roll on it
Great game, more complete in EA than some of full scale games I have played in my life. Can't wait for next few updates. I will post a full scale review once the full game drops, but what you see here is great as it is. Man I love the characters, they seem so alive and iconic, I really wish you'll continue with the multi-cultural theme and we would see more operatives with ties to real world cultures.
Menace has really good bones, its core loop is awesome. I look forward to seeing it continue to develop. I think armor pen and how that functions isn't super clear from a UI perspective, for the first half of the game shotguns are uber broken against the bugs and then they go to immensely useless. I understood why as it was my second campaign but it'd be very jarring for anew player as the game doesn't really help you understand pen v damage etc. I'd also say the primary faction is just awful to play against, mainly, because they have significantly better vision range than you so you generally just die from something in fog of war. This is just not interactive, and had my elect to avoid them all together when possible or, when forced to go to a planet with them I'd just bring several tanks and turtle around to avoid having my infantry sniped from 10 miles outside of my vision range, even when using vision boosting items and radars. I'm fine with having to adapt strategy for different factions, but having to spend half my deployment points just to make the mission tolerable isn't super fun.
