In this seedy, cyberpunk inspired world, luxuries are often undercut with the threat of violence. Whether it’s pressure from one of the ruling crime syndicates, disgruntled nobles, or even a blood contract from a private military company, the Courtesan's Guild finds itself beset on all sides.
To maintain their position in the criminal underworld, the lovely ladies of the Guild are given full combat training in addition to their bedroom teachings.
These vivacious vixens will join you in battle as you fight to protect the guild!

Four different campaign paths!
Players can embark on any (or all) of four campaign paths. Each of which will cause unique endgame scenarios!
Curry favor with the island’s largest crime syndicate
Join forces with a foreign mercenary company
Hunt down a notorious serial killer with the help of the city’s vigilantes
Get roped into an ancient conspiracy hidden by a powerful extranational agency
Decide the fate of the Guild!
Will you be known as a Unifier, who brought peace and understanding to the different factions of the Guild? Or a Usurper, who took advantage of the crisis to gain power? Many other paths await, and the ending is yet to be written.

Memoirs of a Battle Brothel, developed by A Memory of Eternity and published by TinyHat Studios, is a game that immediately sets itself apart from conventional RPGs through its daring premise and unexpected narrative sophistication. What might appear at first glance to be an adult-themed novelty reveals itself to be a rich hybrid of tactical combat, management simulation, and narrative-driven role-playing set in a darkly imaginative cyberpunk world. The player assumes the role of the “Facilitator” for the Courtesan’s Guild of MoonFall, a powerful and morally complex organization that sits at the intersection of politics, crime, and rebellion. The brothel is not merely a backdrop or a provocative framing device; it is the nerve center of a multifaceted narrative about power, survival, and autonomy. The game’s mature content, while present, is never gratuitous—it exists to reinforce the themes of exploitation, empowerment, and corruption that define the world around you. From its opening moments, Memoirs of a Battle Brothel establishes a tone that blends philosophical cynicism with raw emotional energy, a combination that defines both its story and gameplay. The world of MoonFall is a fascinatingly bleak setting that mixes fantasy and cyberpunk elements into something distinct. Magic and technology coexist uneasily, with the rise of new power structures creating a city-state built on decadence, violence, and political intrigue. The Guild you serve functions as both a business and a weapon, employing courtesans who are also mercenaries, spies, and agents of influence. As Facilitator, you navigate a labyrinth of competing interests: criminal syndicates, corporate magnates, revolutionary factions, and rogue magicians. The narrative branches in multiple directions depending on the choices you make and the alliances you form. Your character background—chosen during the game’s detailed creation process—determines how others perceive you, shaping not only dialogue but also available questlines and potential endings. The game’s branching narrative design means that no two playthroughs feel identical, and its replay value comes less from mechanical variety than from its moral and political complexity. Every decision feels consequential, and even seemingly minor choices can ripple outward, affecting relationships, faction loyalty, and the fate of entire story arcs. Gameplay in Memoirs of a Battle Brothel is an intricate blend of tactical turn-based combat, brothel management, and open-ended exploration. Combat takes place on grid-based maps reminiscent of classic strategy RPGs, where positioning, resource management, and character synergy determine success. Each companion brings a distinct set of abilities and classes, ranging from frontline warriors to long-range support and spellcasters. Battles are deliberate and challenging, often forcing you to weigh risk against reward. Outside combat, the management layer provides a different kind of strategy. Within the Guild, you can upgrade facilities, recruit new members, train courtesans for combat or social missions, and expand your influence across MoonFall. This element of economic and logistical planning gives the game a grounded sense of progression. Meanwhile, exploration sections allow you to interact with the city’s diverse inhabitants, take on side contracts, and uncover hidden subplots. While not as expansive as large-scale open-world games, these systems interact meaningfully to create a cohesive experience that rewards both tactical thinking and narrative engagement. One of the game’s strongest qualities lies in its writing. The script is mature in tone—not simply because of its adult themes, but because of its commitment to exploring moral ambiguity. The characters you meet are layered and human, each driven by their own desires, traumas, and ambitions. The courtesans under your command are not mere caricatures or decorative figures; they are warriors, confidants, and sometimes rivals. Dialogue is sharp and frequently introspective, oscillating between dry humor, emotional vulnerability, and philosophical reflection. The branching conversation system gives players considerable agency in shaping the relationships they build, whether through trust, romance, or manipulation. Romance is handled with more nuance than one might expect, often tied directly to the game’s broader political or emotional stakes. The tone strikes a careful balance between sensuality and seriousness, making it clear that the game’s erotic components serve its world-building rather than existing purely for titillation. Visually, Memoirs of a Battle Brothel employs a striking pixel-art style that complements its tone perfectly. The art direction conveys both intimacy and grit, combining warm, neon-lit interiors with cold urban sprawl. Character portraits are expressive, helping to bring emotion and personality to the many dialogue-heavy interactions. While the environments are not graphically elaborate, they are evocative enough to create atmosphere and tension. The soundtrack contributes meaningfully to the experience, blending synth-driven melodies with moody ambient tracks that underscore the game’s emotional and political undertones. These audiovisual choices work together to immerse the player in a world that feels alive despite its stylized presentation. For an indie title, the production quality is remarkably cohesive, displaying a level of attention to detail that reinforces the sense of place and tone throughout the campaign. However, Memoirs of a Battle Brothel is not without flaws, and many of them stem from the sheer ambition of its design. Performance issues can occasionally interrupt the flow, with slow animations, lag during combat, or long loading times in certain areas. The user interface, while functional, can feel cluttered during management sections, and some of the tutorial information is sparse, leaving players to experiment through trial and error. The pacing of the main story also fluctuates—early chapters are dense with activity and intrigue, while the mid-game can feel stretched thin, with side missions that lack the same narrative or mechanical punch as the opening acts. The ending, though thematically fitting, has been criticized by some players for feeling abrupt or incomplete, suggesting that the developers’ ambition may have slightly outstripped their resources. Still, even when the game stumbles, its sincerity and scope remain evident. The imperfections feel less like failures and more like the growing pains of a developer pushing the boundaries of what an indie RPG can attempt. In the end, Memoirs of a Battle Brothel is a deeply unconventional and surprisingly heartfelt role-playing game. It is not a polished blockbuster, nor is it meant to be—it is a labor of love that succeeds through bold ideas and emotional resonance rather than perfection. Its combination of turn-based combat, faction politics, and narrative intimacy creates an experience that is as thought-provoking as it is entertaining. Beneath its provocative title lies a story about humanity, agency, and the cost of freedom in a broken world. For players who appreciate games that take risks, that are unafraid to blend beauty with brutality, and that see storytelling as an act of rebellion, Memoirs of a Battle Brothel stands as one of the most distinctive and ambitious indie RPGs of its kind. Rating: 8/10
Easily one of the deepest rpgs I've played in a LONG time. To find such a gem from a single developer in a genre that's easy to miss really shows how far mainstream games have fallen. Play it. Even if you don't want to engage with smut (and it is largely avoidable outside of the very beginning if it's not your jam), play it. It is such an incredible story.
seems decent but the animations are too low res to enjoy, if you enjoy this kind of game you may like it, but not enough reward for not very fun gameplay for me.
Really solid storytelling in a world that currently doesn't have enough cyberpunk RPGs. Pixel art is great. Anime character art is not my thing but it's passable. The sexual content doesn't do it for me but if it's your thing you might enjoy it, plus it's largely optional. Some of the music in this game is fantastic (the synthwave and midtempo electronic stuff). Some of the music in this game is the most generic orchestral crap I've ever heard in a game and feels really out of place. I know the dev has moved on from this to a new game but the main thing this game needs to make it really good is a 2x speed mode. I feel like combat and moving around the map really drags.
I've played this game so far it's great but it needs H scenes minigames similar to "the arrogant kaiju princess" game besides having Fov it needs a pleasure gauge, a click able climax indicator just for fun nothing complicated. Especially it should feature a X ray feature like in "the arrogant kaiju princess" that displays our protagonist's "Boner" inside them. And of course these H scenes minigames should reward us more affection level. I fully recommend this game!!!.
Just like some wise man said: "Don't judge a book by its horny weeb-ass cover, I guess." This game is like blow of fresh air. And 18+ content, I'm glad that player has the choice of avoiding it, accepting it or 50-50 it completely. Despite some little inconveniences like typos here and there and small bugs this small game is like good book: you read through it like lightning and are hungry for more when you're finished. It was so good I even bought lore book DLC before finishing the main story, I was so captivated in this universe, it's history, the characters etc. I'm already at 2nd playthrough because I didn't experienced all routes at once, and let me tell you: NOT ALL RPG GAMES MAKE ME GO FOR ANOTHER ROUND RIGHT AFTER THE FIRST. And all this, the work of one man with some help... just splendid. I'll look forward for future updates/fixes and pray for sequel that is on the horizon to meet and exceed all expectations.
Games feels oddly cozy, just wish I had more time to play it...
