Mausoleum of the Medusa

Mausoleum of the Medusa is barely a game, it's a short single map boss-fight 2D top down retro pixel "boss fight" simulator. You're in a room with Medusa and you have to run your clunky, badly animated 2D pixel sprite around, avoiding death bolts and cutting heads off. Apparently the game can be completed in 42 seconds (this should NOT be a selling point), but to be frank there's less than 42 seconds enjoyment in this retro pixel shovelware. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. You can change the game resolution but this just scales the ugly 2D pixel "art". There's no escaping the ugly, lazy jaggies here. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. The game isn't really free as the developers have their hands out for donations in-game, basically digital panhandling. I can think of better ways to spend 42 seconds than playing this barely-a-game mess.
