Mass Effect™ Legendary Edition

I only got round to ME1 in 2025. I can see why, over 15 years ago, it was a real event in gaming. Now that its cinematics and narrative reactivity are no longer cutting edge... it's moderately fun, and that's about it. The best thing about it is Shepard (the player character). Absolute badass, old-school in the best possible way. Another outstanding element is the worldbuilding. Really, really good. I'd say it's worth it just for those two things. But the level design, the main story, the combat, the build-crafting, the companions... they're all just kind of okay. And the sidequests are honestly poor. Back in the day, probably a 9/10. Nowadays, IMO, more like a 7.

It is Mass Effect, if you haven't played it you have been wasting your life!

I was (and have been) a dragon age fan for many years and I love those games dearly. I was never a fan of space related games because I found them boring, but I finally took the plunge and bought Mass Effect LE. 82 hours later and all of that in less than a month, I can now say I am also a Mass Effect fan. Hot take, I liked Mass Effect 1 the best, then 3, then 2. I did not like the combat in 2 so that is why it's ranked last. There isn't much to say about the Mass Effect trilogy than to play it yourself and experience it. Bioware knew how to write and they killed it with these 3 games. Side content didn't feel horrible to do/didn't feel like a time waster and some of it effects the other games, which is super cool. Played as Fem Shep so I was graced with dating the best space boyfriend a lady could ask for (Kaiden in 1 and Garrus in 2&3) Garrus is my BOY and the best MAN in the entire game, hands down. Love that dude. Play the damn games, get some action, and save the universe!

Best trilogy of all time. Not perfect, but pretty damn close.

its too good, insanely good story.. probably my #2 All-Time Fav game, TW3 being #1. Story is phenomenal and mechanic are flawless, immersion is peak!!

Singlehandedly one of the greatest action RPG games in existence. It is old, and even after the remaster the graphics aren't AAA and there are bugs which can get annoying (just save the game as much as possible), but I can assure you - the captivating story (which is so dynamic) and gameplay definitely make up for it.
