Mass Effect™ Legendary Edition

Потрясающая игра. Это было моё третье прохождение, и, так как с сюжетом я уже был знаком, решил пройти игру на 100% достижений. И тут вылезла вся её кривизна, но об этом позже. Вообще, в плане сюжета и проработанности мира Mass Effect — один из ярких примеров того, что раньше игры делались с душой и для людей. Да, она безбожно устарела и местами настолько кривая, что хотелось разбить что-нибудь, проходя её на безумном уровне сложности, но всё равно в неё хотелось возвращаться и продолжать играть. В целом, во время прохождения на «Безумии» пригорало так, что думал оставить отрицательный отзыв, потому что для этой сложности игра не сбалансирована. В первой части эта сложность не ощущается вовсе. Во второй — тоже самое, но есть нюанс: на некоторых дополнительных квестах, на самом уровне, нет патронов. Толи это баг, толи фича — не понял. Порой приходилось страдать тактикой «подбежал, ударил, убежал» либо долбить только способностями, что долго. В третьей же части сложность уже ощущается, но ближе к середине и финалу, а DLC — это вообще отдельная история, из разряда «я с*сал — меня е*али». Но всё же все нюансы этого прохождения не затмили ностальгию по этой трилогии. Заслуженная классика. P.S. Не е*ите мозги и играйте на нормале, берегите нервные клетки.

Me not recommending Mass Effect would be the equivalent of mammals not having to breathe. This is one of those games that you need to play at least once in your life. See if you can install mods too.

After all these years, Mass Effect is still definitively the greatest trilogy in gaming, and is truly a masterpiece of science fiction that stands amongst the greats that came before it. It wears its inspirations on its sleeve, collating these influences into an exceptional and emotional experience, but still stands on its own as a unique, and significant, contribution to the sci-fi genre. These are games where your decisions truly matter, and one wrong (or intended) decision can result in the deaths of multiple characters - characters you often become attached to. The writers did an excellent job of making your squadmates and the people you encounter feel real, and their losses hit hard, as though losing a loved one. I’ll never forget how much my friend cried after I watched her lose Tali in ME2. With the unique feature of being able to carry over your save and world state to the next game, you can drastically change your experience in each subsequent game, depending on who lives and dies. Even the most minuscule decisions can result in some variations in dialogue later on. This makes Mass Effect easily one of the most replayable set of games. The first Mass Effect was THE game that made me a “gamer” after playing it on a friend’s Xbox over a summer in my teens. I loved it so much, I bought myself a PS3 just so I could play ME2. I’m now in my 30s and I can confidently say I’ve experienced almost all the trilogy has to offer. Even after 50+ playthroughs across 3 generations, the story still hits me in the feels every single time. BioWare has left behind a legacy of having created some of the greatest RPGs of all time and Mass Effect is among them as one of the best. It still holds up remarkably well in 2026 and It’s incredibly accessible for anyone new to RPGs. So If you’re reading this and have yet to play Mass Effect, I hope this review encourages you to do so at least once in your life. It’s an experience you’ll never forget.
