About
mallow is heavily inspired by nuclear throne by having quick action paced runs and chaotic challenging gameplay. the game is quite difficult and is very punishing. the main mechanic is the ability to select enemies as well as upgrades. for every upgrade you select you must select an enemy. this is my first game as a solo dev (i do everything except the music) and student so the project might be a bit rough.
the main content is made up of enemies, upgrades, guns, and abilities. there is no meta progression.
75+ upgrades
50+ enemies
25+ guns
15+ abilities

This game IS for you if
you love action roguelikes
are looking for something chaotic and quick
don't mind some jank
like leaderboard grinding
This game IS NOT for you if
you looking for a huge game
don't like roguelikes
love meta progression
are looking for a casual or chill game

Dear Goose Shroom, From the moment I started eviscerating enemies in this pixel shooter I knew one thing was real: This game is the greatest to come out of human development this millennium. Dare I say, the greatest thing to come out of humanity ever. It is difficult to put into words what an accomplishment this is. It may even have surpassed the invention of the wheel or writing in its importance. In 1000 years, when scholars count the years that pass, they will record it with not with B.C or B.C.E, but with B.M. and A.M, Before Mallow and After Mallow. It would be a disservice to its creator to the beauty and spectacularity of this small, but magnificent game which, through its magic, requires 2 gigabytes of RAM of memory to run. It would be folly to analyze the work without analyzing it's creator. As one of the greatest minds to grace humanity, Goose Shroom can only display the magnificence of the world through the medium of this game. They are the encapsulation of the human spirit, and their writing reflects as such. Never have I read such beauty when I read, "Uhhh i'm not really sure the game is pretty small" when I looked under the system requirements. Even in my 6 minutes of playing, I can clearly see the intelligence and creativity shown this work of art. My love for this game and it's creator nearly equals the clutter on your screen as you play. Really though, the gameplay loop is good and creative for a game of this scale. A screen that shows the controls would be nice in the options or main menu. Some of the maps force you to take damage to kill an enemy by forcing you to push a corner (or maybe I'm just playing wrong).
