Warning: Dead Multiplayer game The developers of this game have pulled the back end servers and removed the game from Steam. This cannot be played.

Warning: Third Party Account This game required you to create a third party "Subagames Account" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you could trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.

Warning: In-Game Cash Shop This game was infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money/credit card details to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
So this is a dead MMO, the developer pulled the plug. Let's have an autopsy. "Luna Online: Reborn" comes up on a Google search with the first hit being a video titled "Worst MMO Ever", and I think this is difficult to qualify because there are just so many. Let's call it a tie. Certainly, this is an awful, very dated and horribly microtransaction infested disaster. Ugly "cutesy" graphics did nothing to help this "WoW from Temu" clone. The UI is a complete disaster, the game design is worse, and wow, the monetisation is cancer. The graphics aren't great, godawful low poly cartoony mobile game tier 3D assets, all badly optimised. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. This game is fairly dated at 8 years old... it's showing a bit of age and won't give you a very up-to-date gaming experience. As mentioned, this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt. Because this was a free title, and removed from Steam, you won't get a key and you won't be able to download it. But, should the game or the developer behind this train wreck surface again, let this stand as an advisory.

Luna Online: Reborn is a nostalgic anime MMORPG that brings back many of the classic design philosophies associated with older online role-playing games. Instead of focusing on cinematic storytelling or hyper-realistic visuals, the game embraces colorful fantasy aesthetics, social interaction, extensive class customization, and traditional grinding systems that defined a large portion of MMORPGs during the late 2000s. Set in the cheerful fantasy world of Blueland, the game creates a relaxed and community-focused atmosphere where players spend just as much time socializing, collecting costumes, and experimenting with builds as they do fighting monsters and completing quests. The first thing most players will notice is the game’s charming visual style. Luna Online: Reborn fully commits to its anime-inspired presentation with oversized weapons, cute character models, bright environments, and playful fantasy locations. Even though the graphics clearly show their age, the art direction still manages to feel appealing because it relies more on personality than realism. Towns are lively and colorful, monster designs are exaggerated and cartoonish, and the overall atmosphere feels welcoming rather than hostile. This lighter tone gives the game a relaxing identity that separates it from darker and more serious MMORPGs. Character progression is one of the strongest elements of the experience. The class system offers a surprisingly large amount of flexibility, allowing players to evolve into multiple advanced jobs depending on their chosen path. Warriors, rogues, and magic users can branch into highly specialized classes with unique skill combinations and gameplay styles. This variety gives the progression system more depth than many modern online games that simplify class design into rigid archetypes. Experimenting with builds and planning future class transitions becomes a major part of the long-term appeal, especially for players who enjoy optimizing their characters over time. Gameplay follows a traditional MMORPG structure centered around questing, dungeon exploration, monster grinding, and equipment progression. Luna Online: Reborn does not attempt to modernize these systems aggressively, which means the game retains a distinctly old-school pacing. Leveling can become grind-heavy, particularly during later stages, but that slower progression contributes to the nostalgic feel of the experience. Players are encouraged to spend time exploring the world, farming monsters, and cooperating with others rather than rushing toward endgame content as quickly as possible. The social aspect of the game remains one of its defining features. Guild systems, parties, friendships, and cooperative grinding sessions are heavily integrated into the overall experience. Unlike many modern MMORPGs that emphasize solo progression and automated matchmaking, Luna Online feels designed around community interaction. The world encourages players to communicate, form groups, and participate in social activities together. This focus on player interaction gives the game a more personal and welcoming atmosphere than many larger online RPGs. Customization is another major strength. Players can personalize their characters with a huge variety of costumes, accessories, pets, mounts, and cosmetic items. Fashion plays a massive role in the game’s identity, and many players spend significant amounts of time collecting outfits and creating unique character appearances. Pets are also more than simple cosmetic additions because they contribute to progression and combat systems, giving them a meaningful role throughout the adventure. The soundtrack complements the game’s cheerful atmosphere effectively. Relaxing town themes, upbeat field music, and lighthearted fantasy melodies help reinforce the comforting tone of the world. The music may not be especially memorable on its own, but it supports the overall experience well and contributes to the nostalgic charm that defines the game. Despite these strengths, Luna Online: Reborn also struggles with several noticeable weaknesses. The most obvious issue is how outdated many of its systems feel compared to modern MMORPG standards. Combat can feel stiff and repetitive, quest design often revolves around traditional monster grinding, and the interface occasionally feels clunky and inconvenient. Players unfamiliar with older online RPG design may find the pacing slow and the mechanics lacking refinement. Technical and balancing problems are also common criticisms. Some players have reported bugs, inconsistent class balancing, and awkward progression systems that occasionally make the experience frustrating. Longtime fans of earlier Luna Online versions have also criticized certain design changes and missing features, arguing that some aspects of the original experience were simplified or altered in disappointing ways. These issues prevent Reborn from fully recapturing the magic that many veterans remember from the franchise’s earlier years. The inclusion of automation systems is another divisive feature. While automated grinding and convenience mechanics make progression easier, they can also reduce immersion and make the world feel less active. Seeing large groups of automated characters farming monsters can occasionally damage the sense of community and accomplishment that older MMORPGs traditionally relied on. Even with these flaws, Luna Online: Reborn still succeeds at delivering a relaxing and nostalgic MMORPG experience. The game understands exactly what kind of audience it is trying to appeal to and leans heavily into classic MMO traditions instead of chasing modern trends. Its colorful world, extensive class system, social focus, and charming presentation create a cozy atmosphere that remains surprisingly enjoyable despite the aging mechanics. What ultimately keeps the game appealing is its sense of personality. Luna Online: Reborn may not offer cutting-edge graphics or highly polished gameplay systems, but it captures the feeling of older anime MMORPGs where community interaction and slow progression were central to the experience. There is a comforting simplicity to its structure that many players may find refreshing compared to the overwhelming complexity of some modern online games. For fans of classic grind-heavy MMORPGs, anime-inspired fantasy worlds, and social online experiences, Luna Online: Reborn offers a charming return to an earlier era of MMO design. While outdated systems and technical issues prevent it from reaching the level of modern genre leaders, its nostalgic atmosphere and deep customization systems still make it a worthwhile experience for players searching for a lighter and more community-driven online adventure.
