I saw one of my fav ytbers play this last year & it seemed pretty fun. Now that I've played thru it a bit, that idea has kind of gone with the wind. The reasons for that are mostly in how much this game freezes & crashes, which kills its pacing & the satisfaction of clearing a dungeon/room. The sheer amount of crashes made me really glad, that I played on easy mode, since that mode auto-saves decently often. But... speaking of the difficulty (& also the RPG side)... man. This game relies too much on its random door encounters to deliver you party members. If you don't get at least 2, it starts feeling shallow so quick, since there's just so little to play with. To give you a reference point - I did roughly half my playthru with 1 party member, and while combats didn't take long to finish, they began to feel same-y very quickly. All-in-all I would only recommend trying the game, if you're both very patient with technical issues & fine with the RPG side being very volatile, cause it ranges from really stale to... uh... a D&D campaign sidequest (which was p fun tbh).
