10/10. I do not think any game could ever beat this as an adaptation of Lovecraft's work. There is just so much here. If I tried to explain it, it would ruin it. Just know that if you ever liked any of Lovecraft's works this is the best game of all time. And regardless of that. Even if you aren't a fan of his works. This game is worth playing for the sheer amount of ridiculous grotesque art alone. I am not kidding when I say there is a new disgusting enemy encounter with multiple sprites and art behind every fcking corner. The writing is gross and made me want to throw up. Oh, and the music is awesome.
Its a bit hard at first but at like day 3 you should have it down. Its very good if you like rpgs and creepy thingies
Great game, I strongly recommend it. If you like quirky RPGs, and can stomach some grotesque stuff, you'll really like this game. Funny writing, and combat that is simple to learn, but does have some game breaking shenigans for those who want them.
good ahhh game
It's like if Fear & Hunger had a baby with Lone Survivor, and that baby grew up to be a battered women's advocate. Like, and worked at soup kitchens, and stuff.
My game OAT.
I had a great time playing this game. The visuals during the fights could be better, but overall it's a great game with many surprises (and not easy!)> especially recommended for fans of classic-looking RPGs and horror games.
YES
Look Outside is a great game with a lot of well thought out aspects. Unfortunately in order to progress the storyline and gain access to more areas than just the tutorial areas. You are placed in an ultimatum where you have to betray morals and throw a baby into a blender or sacrifice a limb and be barred from using half the aspects of physical combat in the game. Which battles are how you gain access to areas, obtain certain items and complete missions. So you'll have to go through the rest of the game either being limited to melee or range orrr satisfy the blender. Once limited in combat the range of your opponents makes no sense. Someone from across the room can attack you but your physical and ranged attacks are somehow too short of any opponent in the confined spaces of the apartment complex. I got bum rushed by a monster in a bathroom stall because my shotgun couldn't land any pellets?? On a guy in a bathroom stall??? After being placed in that ultimatum a lot of the games monsters aren't scary anymore since your character has already been through it and maybe morphing would just make them stronger or wiser to pour bleach or dump dynamite into the blender. Therefore the concept of using more amounts of time and more strategy development because you're punished for making a decent decision when you would've been rewarded with the full combat of the game if you were more psychotic is scarier. I can enjoy some of the souls-like aspects and circumstances but when this has happened so early on in the game, the only reason I want to finish it once is to get the most out of my money and pay respect to the talent of the team and their vision. Some more leeway or freedom would've made it perfect for me. I find this frustrating and I'm sure the next project will be even better and probably perfect.
great game
