Long Story Short

V0.10 Review. It kinda pains me to put a negative review on this game, because the sex scenes in their context are cool, the time you spend on it is honestly rather nice, and for a pure visual novel, you're offered some welcomed freedom. The characters are attractive, and the fall into corruption with Ann is done naturally, which was really welcomed. So why the negative review if the game is good and you have a good time? Well, first of all, it's too short. Now don't get me wrong, the dialogue and how natural things go, especially for a hentai game, is very much appreciated. But as of right now, the game is in 0.10 in one or two years of development, and I'm all for taking your take to develop the best product possible, but I see patches dating from 2024 and we're in 2026. For a visual novel in development for two years, one could expect a bit more content. Second, is the price for the content you get. Now there will always be worse, but 14/15e for such a short game feels bad. I didn't try another route where Ann isn't corrupted, so I don't know if the story varies much and it requires so much time to make it pretty much 2 games in once with the choices you're given, so maybe it explains it slightly, but I think as of right now, it's worth less than 10 bucks. Also, the gallery don't let you replay anything and are just static random pictures, which is very disappointing. There is thankfully a Scenes section which lets you replay the best ones, thankfully, but the minor ones mentioned in the gallery can't be replayed, which is a slight let down. Some occasional random useless dialogues are sometimes slightly unecessary and take you out of it rather than immerse you into it. Overall, I want to recommend the game because I think what's in there is good, the story is good, Joe(y) is a total bro, the girls of the protagonists are interesting, Emily is hot, the instagram showing the slow corruption of girls is very welcome, the animations (most of the time) are great and exciting, the cuckolding scenes are great, the cheating scenes are great, but it's just too short and on the pricier side. Probably the first game that I actually like, but can't recommend. Maybe buy it on a sale, but don't expect too much from it. Will change the review if the game gets completed with more content and gets some improvements. Even though this is a negative review, I sincerely hope the devs will keep working on this project and make it better.

Best porn game I've bought so far. Porn scenes could be e little better, more explicit, but at least they're easily accessible (you don't need to click for 4 hours the find the first one...) and there are plenty. Girls bodies are very nice, not too much exaggerated in either way

This game is truly special. It offers many different paths, each leading to different outcomes. Vanessa is one of the best-written and most interesting characters I have ever come across. This is one of the first AN games I’ve played, and I think it’s an excellent introduction to this type of game. The visual quality and level of detail are good. The game’s length is also impressive, especially considering its replayability. The game world is designed in a realistic and familiar way. Although one character stands out significantly, there are several other interesting characters as well. The story is engaging and maintains a mysterious element throughout the entire experience—something I believe will intrigue every player, though it will probably only be revealed near the end of the game. For screenshot lovers, there is plenty of material. Although the game offers a lot of content, the price could perhaps be slightly adjusted. That said, I honestly wouldn’t have regretted paying even twice as much for it! Overall rating: 9.1/10

I thought maybe the promo photos were preprod or something, and they would fix the girls. But no. They still looks like underdeveloped bratz dolls. Between that and how uninteresting the writing is, I couldn't get into it. Feel asleep while trying to play.

You meet a lovely girl. She is shy. You get her involved in a sexy game of spin the bottle. She doesn't drink alcohol. You keep taking her to bars. She starts to fall in love with you. You watch another girl try on skimpy clothes. You are a jerk. Not by choice, that appears to be the game, being a jerk to a lovely girl.

Easily one of the best AVN's out there. Most of the visuals are clearly using AI enhancements but are stunning to look at and some select renders and images look near photorealistic. The (unfinished) story is fantastic and has plenty of decisions for you to take in just about any scene with many having big impacts on the storyline or the scene and thus the game is highly replayable. One playthrough lasts about 6 hours if you are reading through all dialogues, however due to the sheer amount of different decisions and the 2 main paths of your main love interest (corrupted and non corrupted) you will probably play through the game at least twice. To really see everything and unlock all scenes (if you don't use guides) you will probably need several playthroughs. The characters are really well written and each have their own unique personality. All the love interests are very young (19 years old) and they do look the part so this isn't a game where you are hunting milfs but for the most part young teens.

Venessa is one of the greatest characters ever written. She embraces who she is and takes her talents to live La Vida Loca on her terms. Now take what I said and understand that this review is underselling her hilarious and sometimes downright brilliantly evil insanity. Oh don't get me wrong, the other characters are great but she steals the show because beneath her Queen B**** belly shirt lies a repressed and shockingly endearing speculative notion as to why she wont kiss the protagonist. Highly recommended. Do not let the beta tag fool you into thinking this game is too short or lacks replay value. I could not wait to play it over again and will sing Long Story Short's praises until its finished. Bravo! /standing ovation

Long Story Short may be the best VN of it type. I've played many VNs of similar category, and this one stands out, followed by Steps of Debauchery. If you're looking for a VN that gives you tons of control and variety than this is for you. It explores genres like swinging NTR, cuckolding, cheating, and much more. If you are given the option to disable NTR as well, if you don't want it. There is the option to stay faithful as well. The game is jam packed with content. I only played a single playthrough of 7hr. I couldn't put the game down, I played nonstop. Your choices matter and will have consequences. There are so many branching storylines, which give it so much replayability. There is tons of content that I still haven't discovered after playing the first playthrough and all of it seems unique (meaning you cannot just predict it). The game give you a lot control, meaning you can control how far the characters go. It's easy to predict which choices will lead to what, you will not be disappointed. Both the story and the writing are amazing. These are the best I've encountered in AVNs and I've read a few AVNs. This VN gives you freedom and choice while keeping the flow of the writing and the story. The characters and events are believable. I had no problems with any of the characters and thought all them were memorable. Genuinely, there were moments in the game which made me think and self-reflect about my own relationships and how I think about them as well. Visually, the game stands out as well. All the women in this VN are stunning and there are many women! It's one of the most visually appealing VNs I've read as well. I do have some improvement suggestions for the develops though, I think the VN could benefit from some voice acting in some scenes for example. But it's not that big of a deal. And there was this scene at the very end which was very long which felt unnecessary, it could've been shortened. These are the only minor suggestions I have/ [spoiler] I am of course talking about the last scene where Joe and MMC (Ben) go out to drink at the bar. It just goes on and on, and it's the only time I felt the game dragged. [/spoiler] Overall, I would highly recommend this VN to anyone who enjoys AVNs, but especially to those who are into swinging/cuckolding/cheating genres. It's great in every way,: visually, story wise, writing, and choices. I would like it a 10/10.
