Lonely Astronaut (AKA Lonely Spaceman) is as much an interactive art exhibition as it is a game. This game is very shallow and simple in terms of gameplay, you control a spacesuit with a dead astronaut in it around a "space" environment to discover unusual things placed into the environment. It's a "one-button" game as the developers pride themselves on making a shallow, limited gaming experience. The spacesuit spins around slowly and you can press any key to make the spacesuit thrust. Guiding the spacesuit is a matter of timing your keypresses so the spacesuit is facing in the direction you want to go when you add propulsion. You can also double-tap to eradicate obstacles as they come at you. Running into an obstacle further kills you, which seems to be the point of the game because then they can give you some trite comment they harvested off a quotes page on the internet. Great. So we have a very shallow gameplay experience with little interest for gamers, to the extent that playing the game is pointless, you're better off just watching a Youtube video to see the stuff the developers included... and competing with Youtube is a very low bar for any game. From a technical standpoint, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings beyond the default Unity settings, and they don't change much, they just scale the locked resolution game assets. The controls can't be customised, but I guess that's the point, because this isn't intended to be a particularly interesting or fun game in terms of gameplay... and that's a problem. The game is completely free. This is noble a gesture that shows dedication to both gamers, and the gaming industry. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts.

It's a fun one button game with a good soundtrack. It's all about patience. Like the description says, maybe you will learn something about human condition, or maybe not, it's up to you.
