Lone Planet

A fantastic and somewhat difficult little platformer! Although the artstyle is quite simple at first glance it still shows a lot of intricacy and variety throughout the game. Each area has a distinct colour palette and special flourishes that makes them easily distinguishable. Additionally in each of them are landmarks that work decently well for orientation purposes. Conveying the atmosphere of being in space very well is the music, which is also quite memorable and grand in small ways much like the visuals. Having equal variety to the areas is the gameplay. While platforming is clearly the main focus, there are also other elements such as a few instances of dialogue choices, puzzles and an entire mini-game with a few varieties. There is a gradual rise in difficulty regarding the platforming with a few different types of obstacles being introduced one after the other before showing up in combinations. Though I do find that checkpoints could have been placed a bit more liberally during some of the longer stretches towards the end of the game, they are generally spaced apart very fairly. If a little frustration arises I suggest simply splitting the game into two or three sessions instead of trying to get through it all at once. The written dialogue covers only a part of the story, which some of it being possible to infer through the environment and context clues. Thus a story is present and explained enough to be coherent with a good amount of room for interpretation. Looking at the big picture this is a very solid platformer ending with a challenging but fair difficulty, striking presentation if you give it a chance and an interesting narrative to round it out. It’s not too long and it’s free making it an easy recommendation!

This game is an amazing metroidvania with 2D Mario Galaxy style. I have fun jumping beetween planets searching for itens in all universes of the game. The only two things I didn't like was the beggining video where I can't jump, and one labyrinth like Zelda where you need find the right way. I pass it by going: DOWN, RIGHT, RIGHT, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, DOWN, LEFT, LEFT and UP.

на клавиатуре играть в целом удобно, про геймпад не знаю, но кажется будто на него заточено. игрушка с простым но завораживающим аудиовизуальным стилем, сделано очень хорошо. геймплей это платформер с элементами пазла, но немного своеобразный. игра спокойная расслабляющая, местами сложная но в целом затягивающая, можно исследовать. есть так же история, повествование которое на английском и вообщем в игру можно играть и проходить и без знания но на сколько я понял что бы двигаться по сюжету нужно иногда отвечать на вопросы(выбор ответа) и вникать в суть разговора дабы проще с ориентироваться куда дальше, ну и конечно сам сюжет узнать, к моему сожалению игру бросил потому что переводить было лень а ходить туда-сюда утомительно.

Wonderful game! Love the musics, the graphics and the shaders effects. The simple story and sometimes abstract meanings caught me from the start :)
