"Liquidator" is, well, get your battered brown fedora, leather jacket, and whip out, because we're going on an archaeology expedition, and this game belongs in a museum. This is a 1998, unauthorized Russian rip-off of Duke Nukem 3D, basically a TC/mod of Duke Nukem, hacked out of the original game without authorization and sold as a copyright infringing work, including textures from other games like DooM and so on. Asset flipping before the asset stores even got invented. These Russian "devs" were certainly ahead of their time. So, this is basically what you would expect from a Russian knock off of Duke Nukem 3D... garbage. Remember that episode of the Simpsons when Itchy & Scratchy get taken off air and Krusty has to show a laughably primitive Russian cartoon instead, and after it plays he says "What the hell is this crap?" That's "Liquidator" in a nutshell. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. Visually, this has some fairly mediocre/dated looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging, well, I have no idea how many roubles for this back in 1998. Why it got dug up and dumped on Steam is also a mystery. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at [b]only 3 concurrent players[/b]... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
