Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This godawful Unity asset flip isn't free, but it is dead. It's just a train wreck, a bunch of stolen Unity assets slapped onto a barebones third person shooter game template with a nasty toxic cash shop in it. Disgusting. So, Linx Battle Arena is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal to gamers, despite the zero up front cost. First and foremost, there's no meaningful single player content. The developer gambled that other players would be an acceptable substitute for adding storytelling, level design etc to the . They lost that bet. Without a huge community of players or single player content to add a lasting value to the game, the game dies. Developers must learn that other players are not an acceptable substitute for adding content to a game. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. On pricing and value for gamers, this isn't really free as the game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Even after that, this is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out a $2 USD "donation" DLC for this as you're expected to buy extra DLC from Steam to "support" the developer... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 10 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Before there was clones of battle royale game started appearing after Fortnite, we had Linx Battle Arena. Which to my surprised, a pretty fun game to play. It plays like 3rd person arena shooter but with a large open world maps like in those battle royals game. I really like how the game flows where you often need to be on the run to collect resources to buy ammo/health/weapons as you can only carry 1 magazine at the time. It's kinda like cranked from COD: Ghost. I believe this game is stuck in development in hell from the looks of it as what "open world missions" and other features aren't in the game despite being out of Early Access. I think it was in development way before PUBG was mainstream in 2017 from the dev's comments from the deleted dev's discord server I would only recommend this game if you have group of friends to play with as the bots aka "robots" in this game are brain dead & shooting them over & over gets boring quickly. If I there was 2 things missing from this game, it needs customisable like human bots that can do exactly that u can do & fight back at you & other bots with different weapons. This game does remind me of Kirby Air Ride back on the gamecube. Also offline lan support please if haven't done so. Now idk if I'm bothered to upload the gameplay back when I played with group of testers.
I have owned prison architect for quite some time, I have followed it since alpha 8 or 9 even. Since then I have seen the game improve and expand, travelling in many directions to fill the void that the content hungry community had made. Since the very beginning the devs have always listened to the players, with many of the features seen in the game being requested by the community. Many people claim to encounter game breaking bugs and stupid events. While I cannot talk for the people who do actually encounter game breaking bugs, I can say that if you don't want to encounter stupid events that result in the downfall of your prison... Please do turn events off. The game features a campaign that in a way acts as a great tutorial. Originally, I was torn on whether I agreed with adding in a campaign to this sort of game. But the devs were able to incorporate it so smoothly, it generated enough interest within me to play it. The main feature of this game is a sort of challenge sandbox, where you are free to design a prison to your exact liking. This isn’t all willy nilly however, as you are challenged with a very exact budget, forcing you to also manage your financial situation while building. Logic also becomes a big part of this game making you think of efficient practical guard patrols, camera coverage and contraband screening. Overall this is an excellent game and even though it has made 'full release' it still has much more content to come, not to mention the thriving modded community. While I may have only touched on 3 or 4 features of this game, I thought it would be good if you (the reader) discovered them yourself (don’t worry, they’re all positive!). So, please do consider purchasing this game, I highly recommend it!
A very enjoyable and fast paced shooter. I've spent many an evening playing this with some friends and had a great time with it. I'm not normally a player of first or thrid persom shooters but even when playing against seasoned COD players I found this very enjoyable and did not feel like I was at a massive disadvantage to the players who normally play these games. This is mostly due to the unique (to me anyways) game play of having limited ammo and havin to collect money boxes to fund a new gun. There is no keeping guns for the next round so everyone starts on the same playing field. My favorite options of game play is the random guns option. In regards to the graphics, this is an indie game. The graphics are more than up to the job of providing a good enviroment for the game play. Do not expect the graphics of multi-billion dollar games companies like Activision, EA etc. Any indie developer that can produce graphics on par with them would be working for them. In all, for a night of banter with your friends from around the globe this game make a great choice. Crack open a few beers or a bottle or wine (or indeed softdrinks) and have a giggle shooting your friends. (and falling off the side of the map cause you are laughing so much... :D )
A fun game to mess around with friends for a couple of hours. Has potential if executed corrrectly, but as of now poor optimization. Looking forward to see where it goes.
