"Limberjack" is a simple, badly made VR tech demo, basically "limbing" or using a chainsaw to cut the limbs off felled trees, so we're really trying to use badly made games to send messages that are harmful to the environment now? Anyway this is extremely shallow and limited. It's just a tech demo, not really a full, complete game with any notable value. This has some really mediocre looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarly visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality product, this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 8 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Funny little game, but this could be a great game if they would add more deep to it, its nothing more then addvertising for Husqvarna. Fun to play for 10 minutes then the fun is over and there is nothing more todo.
It's a decent little experience where you cut limbs as fast as possible and try to throw your chainsaw the furthest. It's annoying that it requires such a huge space though, I was able to cut all the limbs from the wood without any problems but I couldn't reach the majority of keys on the virtual keyboard, but still was able to type a few Zs and Xs as my name. Overall i'd give this a rating of "Damn, nearly broke my hand smashing my lamp whilst throwing a chainsaw" out of 10 :^)
https://youtu.be/CpK1rhZoch0 I went in thinking it would be pretty cool. However I didn't like the mechanics of the chainsaw and found the gameplay to be thoroughly boring! Watch as I go from enthusiastic to disgruntled in 3 seconds!
Horrible mechanics. The chainsaw is linked to a single hand and is impossible to use properly. No interesting mechanics. Lackluster sound and feedback. No matter what, avoid this title.

die Grafik ist wirklich nicht schlecht, aber das Gameplay...meine Fresse. Erst mal hält man eine Kettensäge mit 2 Händen, nicht mit einer. Dann ist das Sägen selbst so dermaßen unrealistisch...
I found this to be a fun little game with nice graphics and the added incentive of leaderboards and achievements. The chainsaw can glitch around a bit but I got used to it.
