Okay… this one poked a very specific childhood nerve. Lights Off is short, free, and laser-focused on that “flip the switch and sprint to bed” dread. It isn’t trying to be earth shattering, and that’s fine. In about fifteen minutes I got a tidy little spiral of tension, a couple of neat endings to chase, and some good sound design that kept me just uneasy enough the whole time. My only gripe is the look. The retro, blurry, faux-PSX vibe is the uniform of indie horror lately, and while it fits the concept, I’m craving something fresher at this point. Still… for a bite-size scare with multiple endings and smart audio, it absolutely lands. Quick, eerie, in and out.

small horror not scary but not bad also
[h2]That's the idea of Lights Off! brought to mind and served much better than in the original!
Good luck for this person's future in game development but closing the lights for 6 days and wasting 10 minutes for such a weak ending was not enjoyable.
老实说不够惊悚,没存档也是硬伤为了刷全成就反复开3次
very good indie horror game with 3 endings
O.k., so right off the bat... I liked it, but there were a few things that annoyed me about this game, let's just get them out of the way first. The game takes place over the course of 7 nights, but it should have really been 5, or even 4. The first 3 nights are the exact same thing, with one *tiny* variation on the second night. I only complain about the number of nights because the vast majority of this game's actual gameplay is you running around your house turning the lights off before going to bed. It really got tedious after a while, especially since there is no checkpoint system to speak of, and you have to fully play the game three times to get the different endings. I found that I had to click on things multiple times for it to register properly quite a bit. There is zero explanation as to what is going on in the game whatsoever, and nothing gets explained. Beyond the game giving you instructions to progress, there is no text in the game, zero objects to interact with (besides light switches and your bed), and no lore. Figure it out! As far as the positives go, the game does a good job with the lighting and the way that shadows get thrown as you turn the lights on or off. There is one night in particular where you use a camera to take pictures in the dark that actually had me on edge more than it probably should have. I realize that it might sound like the negatives outweigh the positives here, but overall I had a pretty good time. Honestly, if the dev had crammed a little more game into a little less time, the game would have felt much better, but as it stands, this one was not too bad. I'm a sucker for some analog horror, and this game did it's job, for better or worse.
